All i play is season mode, usually along side the real games on the schedule , live seasons would be nice for hockey but it would be some work for ea to keep up.

I guess I was out to lunch to miss that. Is there adjustable season lengths?

A guy over at OS posted a box score of his first game on AS defaults, 10 minute periods and the stats look excellent.

I'm just going to play BeaGM for what it is and see if I can get through a whole season.

I honestly think the makers of the game hate the Flyers and purposely made them lower than they should be :) Hopefully that gets adjusted once Bryz goes on his Vezina run :D

Vancouver with a goalie rating of 97 and Boston with a 91? Oh, that's right, Luongo totally s*** down Boston and won the Stanley Cup and the Vezina, and Rask sucks.

Ratings war!!!

I just take for granted their going to overrate the home squad a little. We just need the game to come out so we can play it and have something of substance to talk about.

EDIT: Actually the way those overall team averages are computed is a mystery to me. This video shows all the individual ratings, and they don't seem to correlate to the team ratings.

Haha. Ratings look fine actually for the most part. That one just jumped out at me and looked odd. I'm glad there is a good disparity between the elite teams and the not so good teams.

I don't take too much stock into those ratings, really. Give me a fine damn gameplay that resembles the way the sports is played today and I am a happy camper. The ratings I believe are based on the entire past season and not just a series or playoffs performance. Luongo along Schneider were the best tandem duo in GA during the regular season. I don't think one should read too much into Lou's numbers in that chart and say hey he's better than Thomas which clearly is not the case.

Well you know the resident Bruin fan had to chime in. Gotta love how the Vezina and Conn Smythe winner leads the 7th rated goalie tandem. But like others have said, as long as this game is what I think it's gonna be, ratings will mean nothing to me.

If I sign up for EA's season pass today, will I get access to Madden 13 next year? It runs for 12 months if I'm not mistaken, right?

I really want to play NHL 12 today!

I could be wrong, but I don't think so. It runs for NCAA 12, Madden 12, NHL 12 and FIFA 12 and then starts over next season I believe.

I think that's incorrect, but I could be wrong. Mine says "Your Season Pass will expire on August 25th, 2012". I take that to mean anything released within that window (NCAA 13, for example) will be under my subscription. If you subscribe for a year, you get a year...at least that's how I understood it.

Then again, EA could just instantly put all the "13" games in the NEW season pass and they don't show up at all in this year's version...and your subscription only includes buying DLC until that date or something. The more I think about it, I bet that's what it is. You get Early Release games for that season, and your cheap DLC crap for those games until your subscription ends.

I got it. It's good. The AI plays much tougher defense.

Took maybe two hours to download. Maybe more.

The EA servers are acting up. I did not get any online play in. It tried to tell me that I couldn't play the Pre-release version without an online connection, even though I was connected. But it was just a blip.

No HUT. :-(

I've just been playing some Play Now games. Perron is on the Blues third line, so that was weird. Cam Jansen is still on the team, so the rosters need updating. I know that once I logged in to play a game online with Madden 12 using the Pre-release version, it prompted me to download new rosters. Hopefully I will get the same if I can ever get it to let me log into online play.

If you get a chance, please comment on any changes of the aggressiveness of the CPU AI on offense. Does it maintain possession better and get off more shots? Also, does the full version play about the same as the demo?
