And a generation of Colts' fans -- hell, nearly all of the Colts' fans -- will learn what it's like to have a losing season for the first time. I feel bad for Peyton, but it will be humorous to see the wheels fall off the Colts' fan bandwagon.Rodster wrote:It's looking like Peyton could be done for the year.

Was he talking about when he was on the Canes or the Browns? I never know these days.vader29 wrote:vinny-b wrote:in other news, Bernie Kosar's daughter is a porn star:

Yeah he's a great player. What a fun game to start off the season.Lancer wrote:this sproles guy is great, how come he doesn't even touch the field in my Madden Franchise!
I'd argue that this division is so weak, a well coached team could win 9 games this season.pk500 wrote:And a generation of Colts' fans -- hell, nearly all of the Colts' fans -- will learn what it's like to have a losing season for the first time.Rodster wrote:It's looking like Peyton could be done for the year.

True. So that eliminates Houston, because it's coached by Gary Kubiak.greggsand wrote:I'd argue that this division is so weak, a well coached team could win 9 games this season.pk500 wrote:And a generation of Colts' fans -- hell, nearly all of the Colts' fans -- will learn what it's like to have a losing season for the first time.Rodster wrote:It's looking like Peyton could be done for the year.

Cobb's return was great, but that barely overshadowed the putrid smell of the new kickoff rule. People are buzzing over Cobb's Madden-style return, but let's see how enthusiastic they are about kickoff returns after seeing a C-130 parachute drop of touchbacks this Sunday and Monday.Brando70 wrote:Cobb's kickoff return was one of the best I've ever seen. I don't think it's a crock, but more of a case of cutting the baby in half instead of trying to find a real solution. They are trying to improve safety by reducing the number returns -- statistically, that makes sense, even if a dangerous play is still included. And I think the only way they could have really made it safe was eliminating it completely, which would have caused a minor revolt among fans, not to mention eliminated the onside kick.pk500 wrote:Cobb's return was great, but that barely overshadowed the putrid smell of the new kickoff rule. Stupid, stupid, STUPID rule.
My biggest problem with the new rule is the hypocrisy. The NFL said it changed the spot of the kickoff to enhance player safety. That's a crock.
When players make the rare decision to return from deep in the end zone or the kickoff is short, the phalanx of hurtling special team gunners will get a 5-yard head start from last year and be able to obliterate the return man that much faster. It's a violent damn game; that's why we watch it.
Keep the kickoff spot at the 30.
