I am weak as well.
Being a season NHL, Madden, FIFA, TW and NFS buyer it was a no brainer for me, plus I have DL a few Masters courses as well.

Madden 12 took me about 30 minutes to download, probably more tonight as people get on to the season pass.

I'm at 20% after about 15 minutes so I guess it's moving well now.

Graphically the game looks outstanding. They finally seem to get the color pallette right for the darker colors. The uniforms don't look as washed out. The real time lighting looks great as well. I've seen some new animations, and everything seems to move smoothly. I did set game speed to slow. On normal everything seemed herky jerky and frenetic. Slow seems to be for me the way to go.

The audio is abysmal. Commentary might be the worst of thie generation. Crowd noise seems inconsequential.

Camera work with the replays and the broadcast presentation is very well done. It looks like a television broadcast.

So far on the field, no super LB's. You can really differentiate between the players, and most of all, it's a lot of fun, and keeps my attention which Madden hasn't done in a while.

I've only played two full games, but I will say this may be the first time in about a decade I play Madden long term and ditch NCAA.

It's starting to grow on me but I can't get the cpu to mount a running game. I would sure like to see Abner's sliders if he wants to share them.

I was tempted to cancel my Amazon order and get Season Pass, too, but that's a $45 swing ($20 savings from Amazon + $25 for season pass), so I was able to maintain control.

However, my wife and daughter are supposed to be out of town Tues-Friday, next week, so my quiet little suburban home will become a decadent Madden crack den for a few days.

Well after two games color me unimpressed with Madden 12. I didn't find the game fun at all in either game I played and to me the game doesn't feel very smooth.

Unless I can find some sliders to make this game competitive I won't be buying it come Tuesday.

First whomever handles the audio should be fired instantly. I didn't think it could get worse but it has. Not only is it stale very fast they constantly say things at the wrong time, I mean worse then ever before. Unless I am mistaken in thinking that good starting field position isn't on my own 5 yard line like Gus says or that going for it on 4 and 17th was worth a shot as Chris likes to say.

2 Franchise games as the Bears on All Pro with heavy slider tweaks to the CPU. No remember I still can't win a game on default all pro with the demo. 1st game against the Falcons I pitch a shut out they have 100 yard total offense, 3 yards rushing. Second game against the Saints they score 3 points with 187 total yards and a nice 34 yard rushing game.

Calling 3 straight runs up the middle will result in a first down 9 out of 10 times.

How you could ruin all the great animations and dynamic feel of the game with that stupid shoulder launching tackle that plays over and over is beyond me but you did it EA.

I'm so meh right now after playing this for several hours that I don't think I want to even play football again this year. Maybe someone will rescue me with a slider set or something but the bottom line is I hope this is the last crappy effort of a dying leadership. After seeing some of the decisions made for Madden 12 I'm starting to think most of those guys that left were shown the door.

Is the default game speed in madden the same as the default game speed in Ncaa? or faster/slower?

Played the Seahawks with Matt Hasselbeck (rosters still outdated) a couple of games on AP, 8 minutes quarters, one on normal and the second game on slow. Prefer slow. The CPU was rather successful throwing the long bombs as my DB's were rather tame in their coverages (wished there was a defensive lock) and while the AI struggled with the running game, the CPU QB was able to make a few 10 yards rush on his own. The QB's just seem to find a way to scramble too quick.

I did enjoyed my own running game though while trying to peep for that extra opening and squeeze an extra yard or two.

Blocking is definitely better than before. Saw a couple of flat pancakes but that's a small price to pay for better holes and no suction blocking.

Haven't seen the phantom LB's that you see often in NCAA, and I still prefer to use my own calls instead of Madden's gameplan. Camera angle is good overall, wished it would zoom in more the QB as he's about to call the play.

Yes, the commentary gets boring really fast and not even Collinsworth's insight can save this booth. Where are the radio guys? 8)

I think those of you that did not enjoy M11 will find the changes rather subtle with 12, and if you're enjoying NCAA12, you'll probably like this game too.

There are updated rosters available. At least on XBL there are.

Last night I played an exhibition game with the Steelers at the Patriots on All Pro with 15 minute quarters and had a 28-10 halftime lead and sure enough blew it in the second half as the Patriots Wes Welkered me to death, I believe he ended up with 18 receptions. My top two running backs had over 100 yards each, most of which came in the first half as I wasn't as successful running in the second half which led to a lot of 3 and outs and a couple of ints and let New England get back into the game with them eventually winning 34-28.

Forgot to check for updated rosters last night so I still had Randel El instead of Cotchery and of course New England didn't have Chad Johnson or Haynesworth.

Overall there is enough there for me for it to be enjoyable enough to play as my football game for a year since I skipped out on NCAA this year and also didn't play last years Madden that much.

Hey Dan,

This is really what I was talking about in the write up at No High Scores yesterday.

You are going to play games when the CPU simply does not show up. It's extremely cyclical. I have played playoff games that were nail biters and playoff games that at halftime you just knew the AI was sleeping. It's very odd. The only thing I can chalk it up to is the confidence/consistency thing. I don't know if that's it but it's my best guess.

I have my sliders, right now, as follows (going off memory here, my daughter has confiscated the TV this morning and NHL 12 literally just showed up so a fight is about to breakbliloick out)

CPU Pass Block: 85
CPU Run Block: 55
CPU Pass Awareness: 40 (REALLY hate the leaping linebackers)
CPU Run D Awareness: 65
CPU Tackling: 35
CPU Run Block Shed: 65
CPU Int: 35

I have most Human sliders at 50 at the moment except Interceptions at 35, Tackling at 40, Run D Awareness at 40

I have had games, many of them, which the CPU gets 100 yards on the ground. Played KC in a playoff game where Charles had 23 carries for 130 yards in the snow. But again, youll also have those games when they get 20 yards on 20 carries and pass for 60 yards and throw 3 picks.

And yes, the sound/commentary is abysmal in general.
