Agreed. But the first two-thirds of "Office Space" is more clever and much more well written than anything in "The Hangover."
Disagree.

Two of my favorite comedies ever.

Love em both. Other than being funny they are very different movies.

Both are superbly written and acted. Both make me happy start to finish.

I think the issue is two different types of comedy. Office Space wanted to be clever and Rushmore and Big Lebowski type funny while Hangover was more Anchorman and Caddyshack type funny. Different styles but all very funny IMO.

Speaking of which, The Dude makes his Blu-ray appearance finally. I have to grab that. "You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me."

Office Space is in the same category as Stripes and Old School -- hilarious until the directors realized they needed another 30 minutes to finish their movies.

$12.99 at Frys this weekend (BR+DVD combo). I have to head out toward Lisle on Sunday anyway so I have informed my wife we will be making an additional stop. :D

Black Death is a very good movie starring Sean Bean as a knight tracking down a necromancer in the plague-infested 1300s.

Great movie rentals over the last couple days. Take Me Home Tonight and Limitless. I came in to Limitless thinking I was going to be let down, but that movie really had me from the very beginning.

Just finished watching Win Win this afternoon. Highly recommended. I wouldn't have known about it unless I had seen a preview for it prior to watching Cedar Rapids a couple weeks ago.

Paul Giamatti did a great job as did the wife (Michael's squeeze from The Office). Just a great cast of characters.

I also really liked Cedar Rapids. If you're an Ed Helms fan, this is a good one. John C. Reilly just about stole the show. Kind of a dark comedy but quite entertaining.

Going to watch Skateland later, but it looks like the reviews weren't too favorable.

Win Win is a WIN!

Totally agree. Watched it this past weekend and really enjoyed it. There were some unexpected twists that really made it more than your usual white-collar comedy.

Watched Super 8 two nights ago. SUPERB movie. I really enjoyed it. Great script, great cast. The movie just had a great, nostalgic feel to it. 10/10.

Jane Eyre, for your costume drama loving feminine side. Thought it was excellent. Great cast.

Two blu rays arrived via Amazon yesterday - Pulp Fiction (finally) and Almost Famous. :D :D :D

I should have just made the plunge for Jackie Brown, but didn't for some reason...I'll wait till it drops a few bucks more I guess.

I will post impressions for sure...Supposedly the blu ray quality allows you to actually see what's in the briefcase. :o

I've been on a documentary kick lately after watching Marwencol, which everyone was properly raving about. Watched Young at Heart last week. I found it deeply moving. Talk about a movie that will stick with you. Funny, profane, tragic...it's got it all.

Ha. Nice....I don't believe that Tarantino had something specific in mind, but I like to think it was the boxing heavyweight belt.
