If you haven't heard...
New Cars
TVR Cerbera Speed 12 (DLC Verison) - Exactly the same as the retail version, only thing is you won't need all Platinums to get it. However, this model only comes in racing green so we can still tell who's beaten the game and who's downloaded their way to TVR heaven.
Ferrari 288 GTO - A fast, fast *fast* Ferrari. Absolute classic and still outperforms most sports cars these days.
BMW 645Ci - BMW's latest 6 series offering. It's big, but it's quick and has a very distinctive design.
Ferrari 365 GTS4 (Daytona) - Miami Vice. A 70's classic Ferrari. A definate for anyone who claims to know their Ferrari's.
Porsche 356A Carrera Speedster - The humble beginnings of the Boxster way back in the 50's.
Ferrari 250TR - Classic front engine Ferrari racer for the road. Another 50's offering, and amazingly quick considering it's age.
Chevrolet Corvette C6 - Brand new, straight from Chevrolet factories. Only announced 2 months ago, now available for you to drive, even before your car dealer gets to see one
BMW M3 CSL -The light-weight, lightning quick special M3. A track beast with a sensational engine and impeccable dynamics. This is one fun car.
New City
Yup, you guessed it. Paris .
From the Eiffel tower, to the Arc de Triomphe, you can now race through the streets of one of Europes oldest and incredibly beautiful cities. It's fast, it's pretty, but more importantly it's yours to hit with the fastest cars ever to hit the streets.
No word on date or possible cost yet. Guess still no copy of my car, but the 288 GTO is very close in shape - just not in power as the 288 is a beast. Don't see myself paying unless it's $5 or so.

I'm a sucker for new cars and a city. There's enough there to justify five bones for me, even though I haven't played PGR 2 in about two months.
Stupid, yes. But it's a racing game, so ...
Take care,
PK

Well, I downloaded the Paris bonus pack last night and all I have to say is ... damn, I can't drive PGR2 anymore.
After weeks of ToCA I just had no feel for the cars at all. The new cars look great and sound even better (love those Ferrari engines) but I think it would take a whole evening of re-adjusting to the driving model to have fun with PGR2 again.
The Paris track looks really nice. I only ran a couple of the courses but I did drive past the Eiffel Tower.
The track also has some nice falling leaves and flying birds for effect. I realize these are not the most informative impressions but I spent most of the laps trying to come to grips with the handling and then I got an invite to race ToCA so I'll have to put some more time into it and post more detailed impressions tonight.

I can't say I've soured on PGR2, though I haven't played it since the release of TOCA2. However, no matter what group you race with on PGR2, it seems like everyone is drawn to the Ring. If BC released a download pack with nothing but real street (like Surfer's Paradise, Long Beach, Monoaco, etc) and road courses I would download it in a heartbeat. The attraction of the Ring, besides being a real course, is that bush league tactics of using other cars as bumpers doesn't work so well compared to the other courses.J_Cauthen wrote:I've got to be honest and admit that I've totally soured on PGR2, having now played TOCA 2. It's a nice looking game, in fact better looking overall than TOCA 2, but I can't give up the much truer cockpit views that TOCA 2 has, not to mention the damage modeling.
