2.99 for the extra tables is such a bargain if you are really into pinball. There's no telling how many dollars I would have already spent on these tables if they existed in arcades and I still went to arcades. I love the part of the Captain America table where you have to block the balls with the shield. Really cool design decision.

Wonder who Marvel Pinball could have next? How about the HULK!...I could also see Daredevil.toonarmy wrote:Got 35,500,000 on my first attempt on Captain America and thought I was some real hot s***, then I looked at the leaderboard and saw how crap that score is compared to the top 10, lol. This table is made for high scores I can see. Brilliant table design and a lot of fun. These Marvel tables are all really fun. Cannot wait for more.

I read somewhere on the Zen forums that Hulk and Ghost Rider are in the works, but I don't know how "official" that is.bulls23 wrote: Wonder who Marvel Pinball could have next? How about the HULK!...I could also see Daredevil.

Re: Marvel Pinball
I think we have something like eight other Marvel tables in various stages of production. Four this fall/winter, and four in Spring. Some are based on characters, while others are based on comic book storylines.btmmayor wrote:I read somewhere on the Zen forums that Hulk and Ghost Rider are in the works, but I don't know how "official" that is.bulls23 wrote: Wonder who Marvel Pinball could have next? Whoa!! That sounds awesome.FatPitcher wrote: while others are based on comic book storylines.
I hope that Pinball FX 2 is and continues to be a big success. The quality of the more recent work has just gone through the roof and I can't wait to see more.
Re: Marvel Pinball
I really hope they release an iOS version soon. I have FX1 & 2 on X-Box but really don't get the opportunity to play them often enough. An slick iPad version of these tables would completely rule!!!

Re: Marvel Pinball
Well, I finally got a chance to play this game over the weekend. I have to say I am extremely impressed! The physics and the layouts of the tables are just phenomenal. This has become my favorite game on the PS3 at the moment. It's just so relaxing to play through a game or two, all the while discovering new little details about each table. I don't know if have a favorite table at this time. Each one of them offer something different and unique.
Re: Marvel Pinball
Not sure how many people are aware that there are now four new Marvel tables. They are in a package called Vengeance and Virtue. Ghost Rider, Thor, X-Men, and Moon Knight are the four tables. I was very happy to see Thor in this package, as he was a character I was wanting to see featured on a Marvel table. All four tables are designed nicely and fun to play. Not much else to say other than $9.99 for these four tables is a bargain.

Re: Marvel Pinball
I had no idea these were coming out. Happened to stumble upon them while browsing the PS Store.
After looking them up on youtube, they still seem too fixated on ramps. I like the Zen tables better overall. BTW, they have a new Zen one available now too.

Re: Marvel Pinball
I noticed that Europe already has the 3DS version of Zen Pinball, with a North American release in January 2012. Here is a very long and good video of the 3DS gameplay:
The physics and graphics look really good for a handheld pinball game. I got the Williams Collection pinball game on the 3DS and it is not very good at all. The ball physics are not as good as on other versions (floaty) and the graphics leave something to be desired.

Re: Marvel Pinball
I don't think that the ball physics are that different from the other versions as they all have a bit of moonball action going on. You are right about the graphics though, not sharp and very dark.toonarmy wrote: I got the Williams Collection pinball game on the 3DS and it is not very good at all. The one thing I love about Williams Collection 3DS though is the ability to turn the 3DS upside down while playing, such a cool and immersive feature.
Back to the Marvel tables, Zen really continues to impress with these new ones. A ton of cool modes and features that keep these tables fresh. X-Men is especially impressive/fun (and brutal) as there is just so much to do without an easy kickback or ballsave.
toonarmy, I don't think I have you on my friends list. I'll have to send an invite as I'm always looking for friends with Pinball FX.
Re: Marvel Pinball
Been playing some Zen Pinball on the 3DS now that it's out in America. Very very good game. I like the ball physics much better than the 3DS version of Williams. The ball has more weight and doesn't float around as much. I'm sure it's tough to translate detailed pinball tables to a handheld's small screen, but the folks at Zen did a really good job of making the tables look great. There are only four tables, so I'm looking forward to a lot more via DLC.
