THE FUTURE OF EA GAMES

Post by carljr »

i was reading a recent xbox mag. and i was woundering if anyone kenw any thing about EA (sports and all EA games for that matter) and if they are going to start to support xbl?

In my opinion game like nba live, madden, medal of honor, tiger woods..... would be ten times better on live.

I also heared through the grape vine about the computer game (battlefield:1942) coming to xbox and if so shouldn't it be live enabled for max fun?

Thank for any info and any links you might have!!!!!!!!!! :D

Carl,
That was a huge announcement at E3 this year. Just go to the EA Sports website and you can see for yourself. They also spread the news to PS2 owners when they logged on to play an EA Sports game online.

Also, I think they are bringing a version of battlefield to the Xbox. We wouldn't be able to play the sweet looking Galactic Conquest Star Wars mod though :( , but still it could be pretty cool.

Fear not Zep, Lucasarts is coming out with a Battlefield 1942-esque game for the Xbox entitled Star Wars:Battlefront.

Indeed, and some of the movies I've seen look very interesting. One wonders, however, how well it will compete with Halo 2, for they appear to be somewhat similar. Somewhat. I imagine the SW game to be more traditional and straight forward, while the Halo game seems to have a unique and highly balanced gameplay mode.

The Republic Commando game looks like it has some promise, too. But you never know 'till you try it, right?

It's just that I saw a review of that mod on Xplay, and it is yet another thing to make me sad about being a Mac guy. Believe me, there are plenty of reasons I am happy about being a Mac guy, but that battlefield mod and CoH are 2 big reasons I wish I could afford a gaming-only PC. Oh and not to mention all the WE mods. . . .

Come on, Carl: Get your head out of the bong or the deep fryer at work. Get with the program.

F*CK YOU, CARL! :)

See you soon, man. Say hey to your dad. Playing that night on XBL with him, thinking it was you, still was one of the funniest online gaming experiences I've ever had.

Take care,

Zeppo, I think BF is coming out for the Mac. Almost two years later but still being ported.

Not sure if it includes any of the expansions or whether you'll be able to use any of the mods.

More critically, you might be limited to GameRanger than using the usual Gamespy servers.

Although Halo for Mac can play with PC players, I believe.
