He's still invaluable in the Argentine national team. 8)

He's playing amazingly well - that third goal was a beauty. Also, he may be ugly as sin, but I am in love with Luis Suarez.

This has been the strangest season, I never would have imagined after losing to Wolves at home that come May I wouldn't want the season to end....

After being in the relegation places under Hodgson we're two wins away from finishing 5th and playing in Europe next season. I think Kenny's more than earned the job permanently.

Hardly. Look at that table again, Junior.

5th place is the final Europa League spot, so there's still money on the table down the stretch here. It's not glamorous, but it's a hell of a lot better than Liverpool could've hoped for at the New Year.

I guess, only the quarterfinalists in the Europa League get prize money. I think they split 5 million euros.

I should probably get round to saying sorry to the folk who sent me texts earlier today saying, "Hartlepool United have just signed Nolberto Solano," since I thought I was being led astray and told them so in the kind of fashion that wouldn't fly in a nunnery. Looking at this picture, though, I wonder if Nobby might shortly be seeking an apology himself. From his agent.

Are you kidding? Robbie Keane missed one at least that bad on a daily basis during his Liverpool stint. :)

That's pretty tremendous that the dude in the blueshirt was able to grab the trophy and run down the street with it (I'm assuming he wasn't with the team).

Some better celebration hijinks.

Two world class goals by Catlitos Tevez against Stoke. His one-two with Mlner was pure genius. Where would City be if he decides to leave after the season is over?

He'd better pray that someone can stump up £50m and £200k a week in wages then, because he's got 3 years left on his contract.

Inter - that'll be Samuel Eto'o plus Wesley Sneijder, please

AC - That'll be £60m please, because Berlusconi is a c***

Barca - Assuming you've got any money after having to take out a €150m loan over the summer, that'll be £50m please.

RM - That'll be Gonzalo Higuain plus £30m please.

Any Prem team - that'll be £60m, please.

Everyone else - cash up front, or get stuffed.
"The players come from all over the world, the money from deep underneath the Persian Gulf, but, as another, older City poster campaign put it, this is their city. They may now exist in the global spotlight, but they intend to keep it that way."

Happy to see Birmingham relegated. Sorry to see Blackpool go, but I'm glad to see Wigan and Wolves survive.

And congrats to Villa for climbing to 9th after a horrible start to the campaign. They'll be lucky to reach it next year as I expect a good number of players moving on to greener pastures or just out to pasture.

DSP favorite Ronaldo set the La Liga scoring record.

No La Liga or CL trophy for his club tho.
