I'm curious to see what the online stuff will be about. Hopefully, there's a "cops & crooks" mode like in GTA 4.

I wish Amazon would let me swap back for the PS3 version so I could get the extra case, damn.
if you keep the 360 version, you can swap discs instead.. :)

I'm excited too.

Saw that BB is offering a $10 gift card with pre-orders. And I thought amazon I heard is offering $15.

I went with BB - $10 gift card and used some reward zone points. Plus, apparantly I will be able to shoot off someones left nut with no problems at all with a precision aim bonus.

I'm not sure now if I'm going to buy this or not...at least not yet. With it being strictly SP, I won't miss out on anything, or be behind or whatever. Think I'll let this one age a bit.

I get a free DLC suit that increases my aim. I think various retailers are all getting something different for preorders.

I'm going with the PS3 version after Amazon issued me a replacement $10 promotional credit. :)

Also a UK website leaked their review but took it down quickly because of an embargo with Rockstar. They gave the game a perfect 5 out of 5 score.

So far, Gamespot's review is the highest (which is rare) at 9.

Eurogamer 8, Joystiq 4.5/5, Gameinformer 8.75

I don't mind playing a slightly flawed game (slightly being the key word - still is getting great scores), as long as it delivers a unique experience, which L.A. Noire seems to do quite nicely.

Wtf? The review says 12-20 hours, while the developers claimed 30-35. Let's say it's somewhere near 16 hours the first time thru. I am wondering if that 35 hour claim was for 2 playthroughs. Disappointing if it's "short" at 12 hours.

I am getting it for 360 and plan to load it to HD. Seeing as it's 3 discs, do I have to load each one individually, or will loading disc 1 take care of all of the data?

Every time I read "the game is _ to _ hours long", I always double it for myself. I suck.

For a game with so much hype, anything resembling ambivalence or "it's okay" is almost like a gut shot. Not sure what to think of a game that takes up 3 disks, but no more than 20 hours.
