RJJ knocked out in 2nd round....

Post by GROGtheNailer »

Caught him with a hard hard counter-punch....RJ lefy himself open....wow.

Tarver won fair and square, thought it would of been a better fight. I don't know but I want to see another rematch. This might be it for Roy how ever.

Did you hear Roy after the fight??? He's such a b*tch. I'm glad to see his overrated ass be exposed.

There is no more 1a and 1b bullshit. Bernard Hopkins is the clear P4P King.

To be fair, RJJ has fought and beat some good fighters. What got me is that he doesnt seem to give a sh1t that he lost, perhaps money motivates him and not his heart.

Not only did he not care that he lost but he talked like he won.

He still felt Tarver, who just knocked him out, wasn't a worthy opponent for him.

Talked about how he wasn't up for the fight. When all week he bragged about how he was pumped for the fight, there was no excuses this time, and he'd take Tarver out.

He said that he doesn't want a rematch with him because he couldn't get up for a fight with him.

If you can't get up for a fight against a guy who just embarrassed you, you have no pride.

Yep, Jones was acting like an SOB all week on talk shows. The Meat Carver Tarver gave him a reality check.

When will we get the Action Replay patch to lower RJJ's ratings in Fight Night? :)

Take care,

ESPN Radio was saying the KO piques fan interest.

This wasn't a marquee matchup except for the avid boxing fan. Most casual fans may not have been aware this fight was happening.

So a third fight would probably have much bigger PPV sales.

I think he made the mistake of letting Tarver mouth off and wanted to get a quick KO, he initiated through the 1st and took some chances and got caught. Got to hand it to Tarver though, he had a great game plan and the comment before the fight in the middle of the ring while the ref was talking the rules and afterward asked if they had any questions and Tarver says loudly " Yeah...I do...what excuses are you going to use this time Roy?" Might of put Roy off and then a big mistake on RJ side where he left himself wide open...that punch would of knocked out anyone as Tarver stated.

I don't know....I found the whole fight anti-climatic.

Whats funny though is in one of the pre-fights ( 2 heavy weights )....one of the heavyweights had like women sized boobs but was winning the fight. The guy losing the fight is in his corner and his trainer yells at him " you're getting beaten by a guy with titties !!!! " Thought that was quite amusing.

I'm a HUGE RJJ fan and I think he's gonna get beat. Tarver was just too much for him. Roy was ready and Tarver beat him (even though it wasn't scored that way). I hope Roy wins but if anyone beats him in the Light Heavies, it'll be Tarver.
Guess I called it.
