That's the only one I know of.

The only thing that was free was a 1 month preview of mlb.tv, giving live streams of every game (with local blackouts) to the app or on pc.

There's a new App called "Atari's Greatest Hits" and it's a platform for all these old school arcade games.

I tried "Missile Command" and it was pretty bad. Anyone else try any of these retro games?

LOL...I love all this stuff that you guys get excited about. Stuff that Android's been doing for two years now.

But I did play with my buddies iPad 2 and it's a damn fine piece of equipment. A definitely upgrade aesthetically and functionally over the first. Still won't buy one...but I won't buy an Android tablet either. I'm a tablet hater. Until I decide this summer to get one of course. ;)

I wasn't big on tablets either. I always thought why would I want one when my phone does pretty much everything it does. After having the iPad 2 for a month now I absolutely love it. Tablets are awesome and I can't see myself without one now. I would never have thought I'd like it to the extent I do. When you finally bite the bullet I'd be surprised if you didn't feel the same way.

Biggest complaint is that you can't do any productive work, create stuff on a tablet.

But when you're at home, what are you doing on your computer? Mostly consuming entertainment media.

So not surprising that people are using tablets for entertainment and it's eating into time spent on other forms of entertainment.

Unless it's work related I've been using more my iPad 2 more than the MacPro at home. Very handy.

Seriously, if you have the money to spend, what's not to like about a tablet (iPad or whatever)?? It's not like buying one makes things less convenient.

There's no easily-defined killer app. or exclusive content that drives hardware purchases.

It's seen as offering a subset of a laptop's functionality but that doesn't convey the advantages of the form factor.

But with the strong sales, games developers are focusing on iPad-specific games and companies like Time Warner are trying to build video services around it.

I noticed the GWJ guys are talking more and more about iPad games in their podcasts.

Has anyone played 'Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD'? It's on sale for $.99 down from the usual $6.99 for the iPad.

Thanks for the heads up. For $.99 I'm sure it's pretty darn good...

If it was comparable to other versions, $10 would be a good price.

They have to support physical controllers, at least on the iPad, especially when it's connected to a big screen.

Thanks for posting that sale. I'm thinking at the very least Dead Space will be mine.

On a side note, anybody who picked up Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery on the iPad they have made it iPhone compatible now. So if you want it on your iPhone too just search for it in the app store and you should see the version that plays on both. It's the $4.99 version not the $2.99 version that's in the top 25 list.

FIFA 11 has good reviews but only local multiplayer via Wifi or bluetooth.

Doesn't sound like games are using GameCenter or anything else for online games.

I got FIFA 11 and just tried one game, but it took all my effort not to run straight into a defender or out of bounds. Damn virtual dpad. Can't recommend it.
