Just curious, does anyone plan to keep their copy because of Jordan in the game? I plan on it. I played the Miami Heat v Boston Celtics game today and was floored by the presentation about how the Heat needed the win today to become the second seed in the playoffs and how they have not beaten the Celtics all year. 8)

I sense the audio in NBA 2K sounds more fluid and dynamic than in MLB 2K, anyone else notice that if you have both games?

The post game highlights was just as impressive.

The Jordan mode definitely means that 2k11 is a "do not sell" item for me. I can't get over how good this game is.

One question for you guys though - how do I pass over a defender to a teammate that is wide open? I would expect the AI to recognize that it needs to alter the arc of my pass to hit the open man, but it usually just fires a line drive directly into the defender.

I'm keeping it and I may not even look at NBA 2K12. With all the community made historic rosters, I could be set for a couple of years. This is the best basketball game ever made.

IIRC you need to press the LB on the 360 controller or L1 on the DS3. Then it'll bring up the assigned player icon which matches those on your controller.

I guess i'm not the only one and I think that's one reason why the game still has a $21 trade in value at Amazon. I'll still get next years because of NBA Today. You know I wouldn't mind paying $10-15 for the ability to have updates to 2K11 without having to buy 2K12.

I'm loving this game. Played last night with my Knicks and came from down 20 in the 3rd to beat the Lakers. I'm now 19-18 on the season. Even though I have a ways to go, I definitely want to keep playing and get through a full season. That is something I haven't done since NBA Live '97.

Anyone ever plan any of the D-League games? I've played a couple and it's been fun to mess around with guys you don't know.

Outside of Stat and Melo, aren't you doin' that every night when you play with the Knicks? :)

Oh to be in the Eastern Conference. RIP Suns season.

You got that right!!!! ...They each avg 28 for me, and it's all I can do to scrape some points out of the other slugs.

This game is so real that last night I was playing the Lakers, Kobe dunked on me, turned to the camera, and uttered a gay slur. :)

I'll keep this one for a long time as well. Unless they have more Jordan stuff next year and add more old teams and old players.

I don't know if I should keep it. The Jordan challenges got stale after doing a few of them. I went through a whole season with My Player and won it all with the Pacers. It was really fun but I am a bit burnout from the game. Amazon is giving me $16 for it, not bad considering I only paid $30. Still thinking about it tho.

What are the rules regarding timeouts? I start each game with 7. I usually call one in the first half, but then start the 2nd half with 7 again. Then I call a couple in the third quarter, yet when the 4th quarter starts, I'm down to 3 or 4.

Can some explain?

Thanks.

I believe you get 6 full for the game and a 20 second timeout each half. So if you call a 20 second timeout in the first half but no full you would be back at 7 for the second half. It seems like the game is charging you for mandatory timeouts. There are a mandatory number of timeouts per quarter in an NBA game and if they are not used they are called by the official scorer and assigned to teams. I'm not sure of the number of mandatory timeouts, how they are assigned, or how the game treats them though.

Mandatories are under 9:00 and under 3:00 of each quarter. So you'll get charged two automatically each half or one every quarter to be more clear. LOL.

I have a brand new unopened copy of this game (360 version).
Any ideas on places that will give me credit and take a return
without a receipt?

or if anyone here wants to buy it, pm me an offer. thanks

Walmart. You get a certain amount of returns w/o a receipt. You will get a gift card.
