And I never ever said I thought it was "OK for EA to do it." Wow bdoughty has a probem with me and it's not even September.
Oh you know it is all in jest, we have been down this road before over at that other place, of which I do not speak. It is just my nature to be argumentative. I can hold off until September. September 4th to be exact.

You care about the average gamer because you work with them and see them every day. You work in the industry, so you have a much more vested interest in it.
Just FYI I no longer pimp gameinformers and beg for pre-orders to get a game discount and check out games for free. Our store has new management, a 60 year old female who knows nothing about gaming to be exact. I decided my spare time would be better served elsewhere.
I will miss the customers who came in asking when Halo 2 will come out for the PS2.
DSP is a niche site, plain and simple. It caters to hardcore gamers, and we write our reviews focusing on gameplay, something about which most of the average gaming population doesn't care.
I understand, just trying to throw out a reminder that you still have to attract more then the "niche gamer" if you want to keep making games and compete with the big boys. No more, no less.
Just happy to have a place to post where I am not banned or called Hitler on a daily basis.
"Jesus Christ...I didn't check this site for the last few hours and suddenly this dumb topic has a ton of posts. I know this is a discussion board, but talk about beating a dead horse."
It's a sports gaming forum. This is what we do. Deal with it.
