Restrepo makes it's television debut tonight(11/29) on the National Geographic Channel. If you want to learn more about our latest Medal of Honor recipient Sgt Sal Giunta. This is the documentary to watch.

Hehe...I know what you mean :). After every episode I find myself thinking, "did I lock all the doors?" Love the show.

Thanks for the tip, Jackdiggity. I'll set the DVR.

Glad you watched man. Rock/Avalanche showed why Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger have balls of steel. They earned the respect of every soldier I've talked with regarding this documentary. I've met Sebastian twice. His book "WAR" is outstanding. Read it if you get a chance. It's so real I couldn't finish it. Dealing with PTSD at the moment. Need to get my mind right to finish it.

The older men dye their beards as a imitation of Muhammad. Go figure.

It's a superb show that has cracked and exploded into life after about the first four episodes, no pun intended! You're right, Jack: The acting and characterization is top-shelf.

Yeah, I can't believe those guys were just hanging around the soliders in those 5 to 6 firefights a day. That's just insane to me!

I'll definitely check out the book.

I can imagine that it would be tough to watch and read all this stuff having been through it yourself. For that, I'm sure I speak for most, we are truly grateful. I never knew some of the stuff they talked about in the doc and it's amazing that guys like you and your fellow soldiers essentially get dropped in the middle of nowhere with Taliban all around and you're just sitting ducks. That was what was most shocking to me. Unreal.

That's pretty cool, Jack. I'm over near Lenox and Phipps, but we're still probably only 5-10 miles away from each other. I really do need to finally remember to set the DVR for the show.

Thanks man. We defiantly have some amazing kids over there. They deal with the repercussions of deadly mistakes for a lifetime. Situations like that are such an adrenalin rush. Hard to duplicate back in the world.

The "Lights Out" premier last night on FX was outstanding. I cannot wait to see how the season evolves...it's one of the first pilots I have actually enjoyed. Most shows take too long to get going and develop the characters, but you can already get a good sense of who the characters are in this show. I can't recommend it enough.

And "SportsDome" was just so so (right PK?)...it's really hard to follow up Tosh.0 (probably my favorite comedy based show on TV) and make me laugh and it had a few high spots but overall it was just mediocre. I'll give it a few more tries and see if they develop it a bit more, but I was slightly disappointed with the debut.

Saw Sportsdome, mainly because it followed Tosh, which is one of my guilty pleasures. Sportsdome was so-so IMO too, basically felt like a bunch of 2 or 3 minute gags strung together. Not sure how much staying power it will have.

That said, the meth sports clip with the guy fighting the imaginary snakes was amazing.

"Lights Out" was terrific. Of course, a show about squirrels lacing up the gloves and boxing would interest me, but this show has real potential as long as it avoids cliches.

"SportsDome" was a letdown. You and Naples described it well. Just a patchwork quilt of sketches, most of which were tepid at best. I agree with Naples that the "Crackhead vs. Snakes" segment was hilarious -- easily the best of a mediocre lot.

I despise "SportsCenter" on ESPN, so I'm not sure how much longer I can stomach a moderately funny satire of it. Doubt this show has many legs.

The SportsDome didn't need to make up stupid things for it to be successful. It could have used the Daily Show as a model, to use satire to make fun of the sports world. There's enough real material to do that.

That's why the best clip of the night was the Shaq parody thing about him having his 4th heart attack on the court. That was pretty funny.

That's not a bad idea, just to do weekly parodies. I liked the quick shot of Shaq face down on the floor.

That was my second fave, behind the crackhead and the snakes.

If you're a guy who's married, ever been married, or simply ever dated a women at all, "Traffic Light" is the best comedy on television right now. Loud out loud funny week after week.

Funny, I was just emaling my buddy in Toronto about the lines that I've heard on the show that reminded us of our early years while married. Trying not to hurt our spouses is always a tough act to follow. 8)

IFC has been running "The Larry Sanders Show" and I've been recording them all -- I'm about halfway through the second season. I'm really impressed the way the show holds up. At the time, it was very funny to see how it parodied what was happening in entertainment. That stuff is a bit dated, but watching it again after all these years, the characters stand out more than ever. Artie and Hank Kingsley are two of the greatest TV characters I've ever seen, and even the minor characters feel fleshed out. It ranks up there with The Simpsons and Flying Circus as one of my favorite shows of all time.

I'm absolutely digging the new FX boxing drama, "Lights Out." Sure, it's boxing, so I'm going to be attracted. But the characterization and acting are good, and it's a treat to see Stacy Keach playing the lead character's father/trainer.

Very good show.
