I haven't played it too much, and it does have a career mode, but it appears to be a no-frills game. On the table however, it's good old virtual pool though.
Naples - is it called Virtual Pool Online made by Celeris? I see it is on sale for a buck now. Just wondering if it is the same game since you bought it yesterday for $3. Kind of a late xmas sale if so.
I got Virtual Pool HD for iPad by Celeris, I think for $3 (may be $4 on further review).

Virtual Pool Online may be the lower-res iPhone version of the same game.
Ah...thanks!

I would assume the only difference between the free and paid versions are ads.

You may be able to configure games to have a time limit or use different dictionaries.

Time limit seems to be about 2 days, as I've seen players "nudged" and then resigned from games.

There may be more options if you start a game on the FB site. For instance, you can have up to 4-player games set up on the web site but if you start games from the app. it's only 2-player games.

I can recommend Mad Skills Motocross for iPhone/iPad. Basically Excitebike for iOS. 99 cents.

If you already bought the Angry Birds Seasons App, the Valentine's edition is free and ready for download.

Got that last night. Very sweet. My son and daughter loved the theme.

Kick Off (kicking field goals) for the Ipad is free and it's a nice little time waster.

Finally got into Reckless Racing once I figured out a workable control scheme (half wheel with the sensitivity jacked all the way up, in my case) and it's really fun!

Have to say I have been really addicted to mad skills motocross.

Also, apparently a bunch of gameloft and ea games are on sale again for $1. That's my magic price point where I go from buying to none to several games. It looks like it's mostly the iphone versions only on sale though. Torn on whether or not to buy those to play on my ipad, because I'm not paying $5 or $10 for the HD versions.

EA's sale
Phone/iPod touch games:

Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Mirror's Edge
Tetris
SimCity Deluxe
Pictureka!
The Simpsons Arcade
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit
Need For Speed Undercover
Need For Speed Shift
The Sims 3
The Sims 3 World Adventures
The Sims 3 Ambitions
Monopoly
Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition
Scrabble
Risk: The Official Game
The Game of Life Classic Edition
FIFA 11
FIFA 10
NBA Elite 11
NCAA Football
Madden NFL 11

iPad games:

Reckless Racing HD
Pictureka! for iPad
Snood for iPad
Yahtzee HD
Clue: Secrets & Spies
And the gameloft sale
Spider-Man: Total Mayhem
Shrek Kart™
Driver™
Fishing Kings
Let’s Golf!® 2
Shadow Guardian
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Real Golf 2011
Hero of Sparta II
Star Battalion
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Brothers In Arms® 2: Global Front
Zombie Infection

So are there any good online games to make use of those GC names?

Or is it about comparing scores and achievements (whatever they call them for GC)?

2K11 plays a fine game of Hockey for the iphone and now they have ported a higher resolution of the game for the ipad for $4.99. I am going to buy it eventually but will wait for a cheaper deal.

I've determined that I simply can not play games like NHL 2k11 or NBA Elite, etc. on my iPhone. I need some kind of physical D-pad. Using the game develper's idea of a virtual (on-screen) D-pad is an effort in futility for me.

According to the NYT, there's no Nano iPhone in the works.

What I look forward is an improved version of 'mobile me' where you can guard all your photos, music, and files online in a 'Cloud' and supposedly free of charge. Stay tuned.

Also, Osmos, a game I've had my eye for a while is $1 today (normally $5).

Sweet. Thanks Naples. Just purchased it after all these months of reading about it. Heard it's a great chill game.

I should of listed Spiderman : Total Mayhem in this thread. $.99 is a heck of a deal for that game as well.
