you're not alone, Dan.
if the trailer isn't actual gameplay footage, i've little use for it. No matter the genre.
I do get a kick from the members at OS. SCEA (Russell) posts a single screenshot of Johan Santana and the kids have a collective ******
I mean, aside from the scoreboard the picture basically looks no different from MLB 10.
Yeah I don't see the fascination with screen shots in general. I only care how it looks in motion and the Show is about 50 times more realistic than 2ks jerk fest. The animation department at 2k needs an overhaul.
Hey db, before you pre-order The Show why don't you let me settle up our bet and order this for you? I think it's pretty clear the Cavs aren't going to come close to winning 31 this year, and having to buy you a game would sting a little less if it was a game that I love, too. I know I'll get my money's worth out of it and then some.
I'm confused by the video wrt RTTS which is the only game mode I play. It says this year your training stats are dynamically applied by how well or bad you play but in another part he mentioned that you can increase your stats.

they better have a custom camera for RTTS (when your position player is in the field). Tired of having to play as a pitcher, every year
SCEA needs to improve RTTS. Mainly for postion players.

Yeah good point. RTTS is definitely lacking again this year.

Complete over haul and a new way to do things, here's the extensive write up with menu screen pics. from the Comm. Day event, for pitchers and position players. Its a brand new game, in RTTS.

Thanks it does look they added a lot to RTTS. I'm glad they did away with manager challenges that never worked out well. I do hope in the future they the mandatory hard drive install and make it optional.

backbreaker: thanks. Had already checked that info, tho.
it is fine they revamped the challenges/points, interface, etc. However, didn't notice any mention of the defense (fielding while in RTTS) being changed. Unfortunately, in this department the mode has went backwards from what it once was on the PS2. Largely due to the camera view, when fielding. I did explain this to SCEA last year in the RTTS feedback/wishlist thread. Hopefully they did listen..

It's in that big community day gameplay thread, they did change the camera in RTTS. The camera focus is on the ball primarily now and sense it is focused that way, you can't see the 3rd base coach until it's too late. From the attendee SCEA, is trying to find a happy medium.

yes. Already checked it.
my reading interpretation is/was, this camera view change, was only when running the bases. Didn't notice any mention in the thread pertaining to playing defense (RTTS mode only)

For some reason I came away with the same conclusion.
Aristo wrote:Too bad thy aren't showing gameplay videos yet.
These guys sold me on the gameplay at least 5 years ago. Apart from the new controls and camera angles, I think we already pretty much know what we're getting in that department. But if someone is looking for something to be negative about, I guess that would be it.

Why don't they port it to Xbox?
It's borderline criminal that a game this good doesn't really even come close to hitting a million in sales. I'm just glad someone higher up at Sony must be a baseball fan and doesn't need to see HUGE sales to keep these guys from doing what they do in making a great baseball game, as opposed to giving them orders to do something drastically different to try and pump up sales.

If they were smart they would port it to the PC.
The biggest baseball community their ever was played PC games. In fact most still do by modding MVP05 etc. Baseball games don't sell well to begin with, and we all know they couldn't port it to the 360 but I have no idea why they don't do it for the PC.
How does NBA2K sell on the PC, or MLB2K?
