Re: NBA Season 2010-11
He got a LOT of credit for brining Nash back to Phoenix...and assembling the 7 seconds or less team (trading for Joe Johnson, signing Q Richardson, drafting Amare' and Marion). He got way more credit than he deserved really and he ultimately destroyed the team by clashing with ownership when his father sold to Robert Sarver, so that ended that. He was okay...but nothing special at all. Nash and D'Antoni had way more to do with it than Colangelo. And don't forget, Brian was the one who let Joe Johnson leave after not signing him to a BARGAIN 5 years 55 million contract before he forced his way to Atlanta. So that was pretty much the beginning of the end for him. The Suns were never the same after that really. Had they kept that core together for a couple years, I guarantee they would have won a ring because that was a down time in the NBA...but alas, the Western Conference finals are where the Suns go to die (almost regularly).fanatic wrote:Great season. Re: NBA Season 2010-11
Definitely a shame that team never won a ring..I could watch that style of ball all day. Instead, I get to watch defensive Eastern conference battles and a bunch of teams (including Toronto) that mark their progress by if they're in contention for an 7/8 spot in the East. The fans actually buy it up here.dbdynsty25 wrote:He got a LOT of credit for brining Nash back to Phoenix...and assembling the 7 seconds or less team (trading for Joe Johnson, signing Q Richardson, drafting Amare' and Marion). Re: NBA Season 2010-11
Spurs for real or will they get mugged by the Lakers in the playoffs, with their young role players disappearing?
Re: NBA Season 2010-11
Sixers Grizz tonight might not seem like a marqui matchup (and it ain't
) but for Sixers fans their resurgence has been fun to watch...finally. Collins is such a breath of fresh air after the Eddie Jordan debacle. They are 17-12 in their last 29 games.

Well, KG has proven yet again he's the biggest b*tch in the NBA. How do you go and punch a guy in the nuts when he's shooting? Channing Frye should have socked that p*ssy. He's all talk...and hitting guys when they aren't expecting it. Way to go tough guy...
Re: NBA Season 2010-11
That was some bullshit. KG's act has gotten tired.dbdynsty25 wrote:Well, KG has proven yet again he's the biggest b*tch in the NBA. How do you go and punch a guy in the nuts when he's shooting? I can't believe that color commentator was defending him. Was that Malone? I used to like KG, my how that seems so long ago. Somewhere Joakim Noah is telling Stern "Told ya."

There's an interesting article on Colangelo...I had no idea he made 20 mil over 5 years to GM the Raptors. That's insane!

It's Timofey Mozgov's world: The Knicks are just living in it. 23 points, 14 rebounds coming off the bench for The Moz in the victory against Detroit last night!
He'll probably never repeat that performance, but it was glorious while it lasted ...

Thanks for the link. I agree with the part about how Colangelo has "swung for the fences but has missed".dbdynsty25 wrote:http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/b ... le1887438/fanatic wrote:Great season. Especially for us Raptor fans *cricket noises*

Still capable of hitting one out of the park, but has definitely whiffed so far.

Jrue Holiday continues to impress. First triple double of his career tonight. He also leads all 2nd year players in APG. Sixers are now 19-13 in their last 32 games after a horid start.

Solid game Friday night in the Atlantic: Sixers vs. Knicks. As Bart Scott would say, CAN'T WAIT.Diablo25 wrote:Jrue Holiday continues to impress. First triple double of his career tonight. He also leads all 2nd year players in APG. Sixers are now 19-13 in their last 32 games after a horid start.

Couple more losses and the bet is over (7 to be exact). Want to have it locked up before March...a whole hell of a lot of games coming out I want. Easily accomplished with that team. Yikes.lexbur wrote:http://www.didthecavswinlastnight.com/

Re: NBA Season 2010-11
Did you see my post in The Show's thread from the other day? I offered to pre-order it for you, if you haven't already. Or whatever game you want. Let me know. No point in waiting, it's pretty clear they won't win 31 (this year and next year combined even!!!).dbdynsty25 wrote:Couple more losses and the bet is over (7 to be exact).
