Re: NFL Season 2010
At 7-7 Im not liking the start as goodell has had a huge hand in both TDs.
Hey fatcat with the really fat head...let them play!
EDIT: I spoke tooooo soon. Goodells goons make the right call. TD Ravens!
EDIT2: after further review Benji was smacked in the head on that play . Aint that a penalty goodell?
EDIT3: As for playing to the whistle. Reminds me of the game winning play in the NCAA champ game.

Very! at the half. 21-7 Ravens. Maybe they have turned the corner?
Re: NFL Season 2010
At 21-14 late in the 3rd this game has been very entertaining so far.
My only complaint. Goodells goons have tried at every turn to ruin the game. They are all that is wrong with refs who crave the stage.
Go away goodells zebra faggots and let the boys decide the game.
Should be a great 4th quarter!

Re: NFL Season 2010
Goodell cant help himself as he stops a PR TD return for the Ravens.
Really pete?...you really are a small person.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Not sure about that holding call. It doesn't matter it's all tie-up. Did not expect the Steels to come back let alone lead by 3 the way the Birds D was playing after the first half.XXXIV wrote:Goodell cant help himself as he stops a PR TD return for the Ravens.

Costly turnovers started to change the game in favor of the hosts but this is gonna be a helluva a finish.

Re: NFL Season 2010
The flags were a bit much, but that's what teams get when they start the game off with a bunch of post whistle action(ward & reed esp). It put the refs on immediate alert to not "lose control" of the game & becomes a flag-fest. It prob didn't help that the sports talk world geeked the game all week with stuff like "someone's could get killed in this game". The NFL most def reads it's own press...
Balt really screwed the pooch in this one with turnovers. I've had an assfull of Pitt in the post season, but whatever, it pays to have home-field advantage baby.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Its the punt return that fucks it. That was a TD. NO EXCUSE FOR THE NFL. Goodell straight up cheated! you know you did asshole. You know.
On the other hand ...hopefully the next game is as much fun

Sweet dreams girls
Re: NFL Season 2010
Here we go, Stillers, here we go! One down, one to go.
Re: NFL Season 2010
Yeah, almost as bad as Hines Ward getting called for roughness. Terrible day for the refs as usual. They also got suckered into a blocking on the back call earlier in the game. They also missed a blatant clip against Casey Hampton and I can't believe that they didn't call a single hold against Harrison as he totally owned Blind Side all game. That crew is the NFL's worst. Can't believe they get assigned to a game like this.Diablo25 wrote:RIDICULOUS call on the punt return. Gift.
Great day for the Steelers!
Re: NFL Season 2010
Really good day for the Packers!!

Re: NFL Season 2010
The Real ATL Falcons showed up tonight.
They just played like a one and done team all year.
I wouldn't be surprised if the bears follow atlanta tomorrow and lose to the seahawks. But that's the only thing they got going for them, they are playing the seahawks.
Packers going to represent the NFC anyway. If it's GB/CHI champ game, I see GB just playing better. Who would you take in a big game, Rodgers or Cutler?
But first let's see if the Bears can get by Seattle.
AFC - rooting for the Jets. Jets/Pitt rematch would be fun to watch. If it's Pats/Pitt, Pats own the Steelers, like the Steelers own the Ravens.

Gratz to both.
You can have home field like the Steelers did but you still have to play foosball. Steelers come back from 14 down and the Falcons make poopy pants. Big difference in the experience of these two teams. Steelers are pretty bad ass and the Falcons are not.
We are one day closer to that Steelers Bears Super Bowl.
Re: NFL Season 2010
I agree on all those counts. Especially that clip which was blatant, dangerous and in plain view.Leebo33 wrote: Yeah, almost as bad as Hines Ward getting called for roughness. Maybe it is just my anti-zebra prejudice and my imagination but this has to the worst year of officiating I have ever seen. From beginning to end its just been terrible.
Though on the other hand , I am still bitter about the holding call in the 1976 NFC championship game that cost the Rams a TD and probably a trip to SB XI
Hopefully the crews doing the games today are competent and a wee bit more cognizant of where they are.
Refs or no refs I still enjoyed yesterdays games( not so much the Packers) and am looking forward to more of the same today.
Go Bears! I love it here already but it is much nicer living here when they win
Re: NFL Season 2010
How did Boldin drop that touchdown catch in the 4th quarter? Flacco couldn't have placed that ball any better.
Re: NFL Season 2010
Eatin' some crow on the Pack this Sunday morning. They just wooped up on Atlanta yesterday. I didn't see that coming...at least a blowout. I didn't watch the game so I can't comment on how things went down. I'm done trying to predict these games. The way things are going the Seahawks will be in the Super Bowl. That would be hilarious.

Re: NFL Season 2010
As a Falcons fan, I feel as if they were the worst #1 seed of all time. I could be overreacting but they were totally dominated yesterday. They really need some pass rushing force up the middle. Jamal Anderson being a total bust doesn't help their D much.
I also question Matt Ryan's arm strength. He has the accuracy, he has the heart, he has the work ethic, he has the desire... he is just missing the cannon arm.
If they were to of made the SB, Eugene Robinson would have came back to work for the team or something and tried to get a BJ and got arrested again on SB eve... Atlanta is the second worst sports city in American behind Cleveland.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Hilarious, but quite possible. If Cutler shows some nerves in his playoff debut and the secondary D start blitzing from all corners, SEA may steal another one. But watching them play on the road this season has been more than frustrating. Again, I think the running game has to come alive today and #8 play out of his mind. I see the Bears playing tough and will probably take it to the Seahawks by a couple of TD's.Diablo25 wrote:Eatin' some crow on the Pack this Sunday morning. They just wooped up on Atlanta yesterday. In any case, go Hawks!
