c*** refs cant help themselves....TOTALLY MADE UP offensive PI call ends drive.
Not even close.
No question.
There was no call there. NONE! The c*** made it up out of thin air.
Just incompetent officiating ? or goodell trying to be more like Stern?

Re: NFL Season 2010
Word in Miami is Steven Ross is not happy, will clean house. Tony Sparano will be fired at the end of the season and that Carl Peterson has been feeding him to hire Bill Cowher. Stupid move if you ask me.

Re: NFL Season 2010

Re: NFL Season 2010
Goooooooooo Rams! Tough game at Seattle next week for a trip to the playoffs!
Re: NFL Season 2010
Hawks played today much without the services of Hasselbeck who seems to have re-injured himself. Honestly as pathetic as this division is I hope the Rams win it next week, because of all the struggling teams, SEA has no chance in the playoffs even tough they can still win the NFC West with a win next weekend. With all the injuries piling up, the team has struggled for a month now and the league has to revamp how teams get into the playoffs. Going to the dance with a losing record makes no sense to me.MizzouRah wrote:Next up.. Seattle!

I didn't specify the year. LOL.Rodster wrote:Can't wait for those Dolphins playoff games to start.dbdynsty25 wrote:Oh...and Dolphins...10-6, wild card berth. Mark it down.
I was at the game today. Have I mentioned that I hate Chad Henne? At least today I could join in on the Henne sucks chants in the stadium instead of from my living room couch. What a disgrace of a quarterback. Clean house for all I care.
Re: NFL Season 2010
Bradshaw calls Tebow Timbow. I have a feeling that's going to stick. Anyway it's a W and Bronco fans have something to rally around.

Oh and since it's in the NFL 2010 thread i'll take it, the predication was for this year.

Re: NFL Season 2010
I'll say this, if the Dolphins fire Tony Sparano and I hope they keep him for at least two more years along with Jeff Ireland. I hope they hire an up and coming NFL assistant or NFL coordinator who deserves a shot rather than a Super Bowl winning retread like Cowher or Gruden. That has never worked in the past and won't work here.
Re: NFL Season 2010
Here's an honest assessment by Dan Henning on what's wrong with the Dolphins and Henning.

As much as the boys have brought back this crazed game day fanatic/ lunatic, its pretty clear the Rams are just like the hawks in that respect. Even if they manage a win in Seattle, they dont have much chance in the playoffs. Maybe one win at home if they get extremely lucky and everything goes their way.10spro wrote:Hawks played today much without the services of Hasselbeck who seems to have re-injured himself. They play scared/soft not to lose.
Shurmer is a clown. A joke.
They take far too many dumb drive extening and drive ending penalties.
Sam I love you as much as a man can love another man from a distance but you are still a rookie who does some goofy stuff from time to time.
The offensive line gets no push run blocking up the middle and sometimes when they are pass blocking they look like they want Sam to get killed.
The defense while much improved is prone to melting down in 3rd and long situations.
They simply dont have the talent. They have zero depth at all positions.
Now having said that, my tv will once again be in mortal danger come game time.
Go RAMS!!!!! Super Bowl baby!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: NFL Season 2010
They should take the top teams in the AFC and NFC and do away with divisions.. in ALL sports... that being said, I'm all for the Rams hosting a playoff game, even at 8-8.10spro wrote:Hawks played today much without the services of Hasselbeck who seems to have re-injured himself. Re: NFL Season 2010
Chris Collinsworth and Gov. Randell blast the NFL for postponing the game. I have to agree. I understand there's public safety involved and that you don't want 60,000 fans stuck outside, trying to get home, during a blizzard.
However, I think this just shows that the NFL is moving toward being pretty over being the "battle of the gridiron." The images of a game like "The Drive" are burned into my mind. Players dirty, looking like they had gone to hell and back, the field torn up, fans yelling like idiots. It was a spectacle. Makes you wonder if a game like the Ice Bowl would ever be played again aside from the fact it was a cold weather championship game.
It seems that the NFL has taken the spectacle out of the game itself.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Has a team ever hosted a playoff game with a 500 or sub-500 record before?
I thought this would be the first time?
Lets wait to see if it becomes a trend before doing away with divisions. There are good reasons for divisions, which is to sustain historic regional rivalries.
Not to mention, if there were no division games, then there would be 3 more games against rotating teams instead of division rivals, meaning more travel and so forth.
It's good to have division games which are more weighted than the rest of the schedule.

I like the Falcons chances tonight. Watched them a couple of weeks ago against SEA and was impressed. Matt Ryan is emerging as an elite QB.

Yeah, and I'm still in Miami. This place is f'n cold compared to So. Cal. Wow...played golf today and almost froze to death.Rodster wrote:You were in Miami yesterday?I was in Miami yesterday as well though not at the game.

And no, the prediction was for three years from now. LOL...Dolphins ain't making the playoffs anytime soon.

Rendell needs to STFU. The decision was the right thing to do. People also did not spend hundreds of dollars on tickets back in the day either.JRod wrote:Chris Collinsworth and Gov. WTF were the refs looking at on that Pierre Thomas screen? A FULL yard short of the first down and its not reviewable? That rule needs to be changed.

Re: NFL Season 2010
1 minute left in the 3rd and the Vikes are up by 10. I am not sure how, but I am pretty sure the Eagles will find a way to win... I doubt many people are watching, but there was a touchdown caught by Rice that was reviewed and then overturned. I feel like XXXIV here, but that was a COWARDLY call by the refs. The call on the field was touchdown, and there was not enough evidence to overturn it. Had the call on the field been incomplete, I'd be fine if they left it at that. Just a brutal call by the ref. I guess he figured he had to keep the home crowd happy to avoid a double A battery to the dome.
This game all but eliminates Vick from the MVP hunt. I've seen all but 1 of the Vikes games this year. Either the Eagles are REALLY dogging it, or they're not as good as I have heard. Desean Jackson is a ghost, and the half rate Vikings defense is blitzing Vick like Green Bay did to New England in the Super Bowl back in 96. I was on the fence, but now I would pretty much put up my house, car and even first born that NOBODY is beating the Pats in the Super Bowl. The NFC is an absolute joke of a conference this year....
