Re: NFL Season 2010
That was impressive last night from the Pats. If New England plays like that, it will be any team in the NFL, any place.
NE separated itself from the rest of the NFL last night. It's clearly top of the heap.

I agree. Their style of play (short passes to tough and speedy white dudes) is very tough to stop. Can't get a good lick on those guys because (1) they're tough to catch, and (2) in this day and age, it's getting to be that hard hits are against the rules.pk500 wrote:That was impressive last night from the Pats. But thankfully, the so-called "best team" doesn't always win the Super Bowl -- some would argue it rarely does. I'm also reminded by the '95 Steelers (when they lost in the AFC championship at home to the Chargers) that the best team doesn't always even make it to the Super Bowl. Anything can happen in the playoffs.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Think Randy Moss is feeling a BIT bitter right now about how this season has gone? If nothing drastic happens, you gotta put the Patriots in the AFC Championship game at the worst. Super Bowl is a realistic dream. Randy "the Randy Ratio" Moss will be watching the game from home this year. Too bad, so sad.
Re: NFL Season 2010
A guy that has made quite a dent in NE is D. Branch. When B & B hook up it's like magic for those two. Branch didn't have that connection with Hasselbeck when he was in SEA, but going back to the Patriots made the offense more dangerous.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Randy Moss has the skills to be the best WR to have ever played. The problem is he doesn't have the drive or work ethic and that is why he is not.
On a side note, call me crazy but I like the Bears chances this weekend. I wouldn't so much on the road but I do at home.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Have the teams Randy Moss went to won a game while he was on the Team. Titans haven't, did the Vikings?
Yet people will still be lining up next year to get this guy.

Re: NFL Season 2010
The funniest thing is, I know at least 10 people who went out and bought themselves an expensive Moss #84 Vikings jersey. Now you can't even give those things away hahha.Danimal wrote:Have the teams Randy Moss went to won a game while he was on the Team. Titans haven't, did the Vikings?

Re: NFL Season 2010
If nothing else they could use him as decoy. Vikes would have had a better chance, now that Sidney Rice is back. Percy Harvin had a couple of huge games with Moss as decoy.
Titans are run first and with Young imploding there, they're not the best team for him. Indy has had all kinds of problems with injuries and the decline of Wayne. Imagine Manning and Moss.

if by 'trade team', you mean 'trade coaches', i'm down. Win or lose i hate the MF
side note: it didn't bother me Belichick ran up the score. If in his position, i would've done the same
Re: NFL Season 2010
Nah Rex is a good coach, they wouldn't be at 9-2 going into the pats game if he was in over his head. His problem is he needs to tone down the smack until his team can backup his smack on the field. The Jets are a helluva lot better with him as coach than without him. We all knew hoody was going to run up the score with his future HOF QB rocking the bombs down field. And yeah I mean i'll trade all of your players for ours.vinny-b wrote:Rodster wrote:Don't like the score Vinny? Hey i'll trade your 9-2 team for my 6-6 team.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Rod, i feel you on the 'talkin' part. That said with the talent they have (pre-Leonard injury) on both sides of the ball, they may well have been 9-2 even with Mangini. The team is a collection of all-stars. To this point, as a head coach, Rex Ryan hasn't proved sh*t. In life, i don't like symbolism over substance. And IMO Rex Ryan is all symbolism. When factoring in their collection of talent, the Jets have not been well coached in 2010. Mike Tannenbaum is a different story. Wouldn't trade him for any other GM in football.Rodster wrote:Nah Rex is a good coach, they wouldn't be at 9-2 going into the pats game if he was in over his head. Re: NFL Season 2010
The Metrodome's roof collapsed under all of the snow we received yesterday (18-22 inches). No idea what they're going to do with the Vikings/Giants game that had been rescheduled to tomorrow night.

The sing-along songs'll be our scriptures.

Woke up and looked out my bedroom window and no dome. Think Ziggy is kinda happy about this? Giants need to get some weather gear from the Mall of America and play the game at TCF Field.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Football needs to be played outside. I still remember watching those Minn games when they played outside in the cold and used it as home field advantage. Never take away Lambeau Field.

Re: NFL Season 2010
Jack,
That would be fine, except the Giants are in Kansas City. Maybe they can crash at the Planes, Trains and Automobiles motel?

Re: NFL Season 2010
Damn, that's surreal, Jack-diggity. Same thing happened in the 'Cuse about 10 or 15 years ago, from what I recall.
I think the Carrier Dome and Metrodome are the only active major domed stadiums left with air-supported roofs. Well, the Silverdome is playing host to the Devon Alexander-Timothy Bradley fight next month. Crazy, as those guys don't draw flies considering they're both great fighters.

The chick that hauled the luggage into the pick-up could transport their gear.

We have Target Field to our left and the Crapdome to our right. We're a Target Field family.MizzouRah wrote:Now that's a view Jack!

The Crapdome is outdated big time. Last time I was in the Carrier Dome was in 2000. It was still pretty sweet.pk500 wrote:Damn, that's surreal, Jack-diggity. Same thing happened in the 'Cuse about 10 or 15 years ago, from what I recall.

That's going to be a very good fight. Maybe the fight fans in Detroit will make the jaunt up to Pontiac to take it in. I would.
