I would like to say I will get next year's game, as i did enjoy the presentation and the pitcher/batter duel in this years game, but I have a list of stuff that has to be dealt with or I will be skipping 2k11:
-errors. as in, they need more then one in 100 games
-foul balls: I don't know if I ever fouled out, ever
-fielding needs to not be automatic. They should bring back the 2k9 feature where the ball drop circle disappered when your outfielder was running with his back to the ball, and the fielder rating tied into when you saw it again
-injuries. Why have 3 levels of minors when I never need them?
-tied into fielding, throwing needs variability. I suffered no penalty when throwing the ball in the "red" zone. Probably tied into the errors, so maybe two birds with one stone.
-somehow make check swings work. I know they patched them in, but I could never check my swing when I wanted. It must be hard now that we only have to flick the stick for contact hits..... but someone must have ideas
These are the biggies on the field for me............

Re: MLB 2k10
I am pretty much in line with the last 2 posts. I passed up the Show this year and chose 2k10 for my main baseball game. If they can address the obvious issues, then I'll likely pass on the the Show again.
Of course, this would all change if the Show decides to implement right stick controls similar to what 2k uses. If they do that for '11, then I'd get the Show and wait and see on 2k11.

I played 2K10 a ton more than The Show this year, both on Xbox and PC. I personally think they finally hit the sweet spot in the fielding for me, so I hope they don't change it at all, or at least keep it as an option.
Pitching and batting are where it shines, and just feels more immersive than The Show. I still like the manager mode in The Show, and if they add a "result pitch" mode to it then I'd probably grab it again. But it's certainly wait and see whereas 2K11 is a lock.

Re: MLB 2k10
I found the fielding kinda boring. Always accurate throws that never pull anyone off the bag, no one bobbling the ball in the outfield..... I found no need to ever attempt a dive on a fly ball as I pretty much already knew if it was going to be caught, or if it was so far away there was no point.......
The pitching and the hitting battle was awesome. So, that's got me hoping with that squared away, they have had time to polish the other stuff. But, i have yet to see a single preview or whatever on mlb, which is a shame. I know they probably want to focus on NBA right now, but I always find 2k's marketing to be a bit late for my liking.........

This game is $16.99 right now at bestbuy.com.
Since the Giants won the WS, I got still got baseball fever and will rebuy it.
The My Player mode alone is worth it.

I love the list.
Also, I would really like an option of a behind the fielder camera ala ASB 2005. It would make defense much more fun and challenging.

Behind the fielder cam would be ace, never played ASB 2005.

Re: MLB 2k10
Best $4.00 I've spent in a long time. It plays a solid game of baseball out of the box with no frame rate issues and a competitive balance. All i've done is boost the power slider a bit.
Cant believe i'm playing this more than The Show 13.

If you like 2k10, you are really going to enjoy 2k13 when you pick it up for $4 in 2016.
