Yup, outstanding trade for Texas mid-season.

Hard to believe the Tribe left Lee off the playoff roster in '07. At the time it was the right thing to do. He sucked in '07. He wasn't happy about it. Apparently it was a wake up call, he's been awesome ever since.

Good Southpaw match up tonight. I am pulling for the Rangers whom I picked to upset both The Rays and Yankees. CC seems to be the only consistent pitcher for NY this season. Rangers in 7.

If you like a pitchers duel, then it doesn't get any better than watching the SFO-PHI series. PHI in 6.

Great game, terrible result. I simply cannot stand to watch the Yankees or Red Sox win anything. The Phillies are starting to get close to that club, as they are slowly becoming the Yankees/Sox of the NL. The Rangers could not afford to do what they did last night.

Rangers started well but let loose the pedal, they did not execute all their chances and when the Yankees started their come back in the 7th, the outfield started to shake. How important was that CC home tag now early in the game?

When you have the likes of Jeter, ARod, Teixeira, Cano and you can't have even a lick on Cliff Lee's pitches playing in NYC, you know you're going to have a long night. Lee's location was amazing, his off speed, fastball, curveball, he had everything going. His career post season ERA is an incredible 1.26. Wow.

Any Yankee fans care to offer a theory as to why the Stadium has been so empty during the ALCS? It's like watching a Braves game.

It's really bizarre.

Exactly the same reason Turner is empty in the early rounds...just sick of winning all the damn time and don't want to spend the money on playoff tickets. Atlanta really isn't a baseball city at all anyway...it's college football or die. At least Turner had some sellouts in the division series this year.

I have no idea...the Braves only have one trophy in my lifetime. :) Those damn Yankees took a few of em. In fact, it's the only trophy any of my pro teams have in my lifetime...so I will always look back fondly to my Senior year in high school.

Texas vs. San Francisco in the World Series. FOX Sports executives reach for scotch or handguns as tears flow from their cheeks.

My guess is that Panthers Vs Rams will have a higher rating than Game 4, and Steelers Vs Saints will crush it.

Yeah, for all of its financial imbalances, this year MLB's going to crown its ninth different champion since 2000. Can any of the other major sports say that?

That's because a 5 game series to start the playoffs is ridiculous. :)

Despite a brain cramp in the first inning, Lincecum just outpitched C. Lee. Solid performance and the misfits and castoffs just rocked Lee hard tonight in a rather sloppy game. Too many errors for Texas.

AJ: the new park is empty (front rows) for every game. Playoff or otherwise. If told you the price for 1 regular season game in the lower/field level, you point blank wouldn't believe me. It a trip how YES and other media outlets attempt to cover it up and state the park is full.
