Got it last night, but didn't get a chance to play yet. I'll be on tonight for sure.

I just got this game recently from gamefly, but don't even know where to begin on multiplayer. Where to start?

I'll definitely be buying all of the downloadable content that comes out for this game, would be up for some multiplayer tonight also.

Run around in free roam a bit, before diving into competitive MP, Marc. That way, you can get the mechanics down. Randoms can sometimes get on your nerves (as usual), but there's some fun to be had there, as well.

I think my favorites are simple gang shootouts, and, with no other objective other than 'shoot the other guys', it's a good starting point.

Just finished this one up. Totally awesome in every respect, and for my money easily better than GTA: San Andreas and GTA4.

It just feels so right, tapping into every creative nook of the wild west, with the landscapes, characters, themes, activities....

I had completed all the ambient challenges and stranger missions before finishing the story, but not sure I'm gonna go for 100% completion. All the gang hideouts in 24 hours doesn't sound fun to me.

If you're a reward zone member at Best Buy, they have a $20 off coupon for it in their September issue of Gamer magazine.

Poker: Oh, yeah. This is gonna be some fun. Won 2000 dollars from a random bunch of knuckleheads at the poker table this afternoon. That's some fun.

Didn't get a chance to play Liar's Dice, but I know what to expect from that, so...

DID get a chance to change my character to John Marsten; yep, all the main characters from the SP game are playable in MP, complete with voiceovers.

And I DID get a chance to play the newest addition to competitive MP...basically, Attack and Defend. It was a blast. A real blast. Gents, it's the new king of MP modes, if you ask me.

Really great DLC. Highly recommended.

My backorder from before Christmas arrived a couple of days ago. I can't believe I didn't buy this game when it came out. This game is simply amazing.. the voice acting, the graphics, the game play.. simply in a league of it's own. Played until the wee hours this morning and couldn't turn it off.

I recently got the recent edition with all of the DLC and Undead Nightmare for the PS3. I already beat the game on the 360 back when it came out, but missed it so much I figured what the heck and decided to play through it again. Very happy with that decision, as I'm having a great time playing through it a second time. I still need to try the Undead Nightmare part. RDR is easily one of my favorite all-time games. Just wait until you get deep into the game -- it actually gets better and better IMO as the story progresses.

Undead Nightmare is absolutely awesome. The story is cheesy, in a way that is perfect for the whole zombie vibe. Dangit, now I want to buy RDR AGAIN.

We had some sincere fun with it. Loved the co-op missions, and just free roaming is a blast.

I popped this in over Christmas for a bit and had a great time. Love the free roaming aspects. Enjoyed it so much I'm thinking of grabbing GTA IV again off the marketplace. RDR is a GREAT GAME.

I sympathize with Adam and Eve...I would've probably eaten the fruit, too. Lol. Repurchased this one a couple days ago. Wondering why I ever got rid of it. Amazing game. Looks amazing in 1080p, too....

I guess I'm the only person in the Western Hemisphere who found this game boring as hell.

Put more than 10 hours into it -- just a sliver of the available time, I know -- but all I could think was "Why the f*ck am I herding cattle, swinging lassos and having lame gunfights with rustlers when I could be running over pedestrians with cars, firing automatic weapons and committing heinous crimes in GTA IV?"

RDR has a ton of atmosphere. It's also gorgeous. But I'm not a sucker for the Old West, so I'm sure that's one of the reasons this game bored me.

I didn't understand the appeal of RDR after playing it online with you cats one night a few months ago, as it was not fun. I hoped the single-player game would be redemptive. But no go.

Oh, well. I'm glad you cats dug it. And the game was a freebie -- my nephew gave it to me. So no harm, no foul! :)

Each his own and Im very sure you are not alone.

For me it was more than a game, it was an homage to some of my favorite movies.

And I didn't understand the appeal of Scotch wiskey after I tried it once with my dad one night a few years ago, as it did not taste good.

But then after I gave it a second and third chance and tried it again with an open mind, it grew on me. Now I can't think of any alcoholic drink I enjoy better.

The point is that on that one night we didn't set it up at all well for a newcomer. The rest of us were very comfortable with the game, and having been playing online quite a bit during that time we jumped in with both feet and picked uo right where we had left off. We didn't tailor the game setups for someone who hadn't played the game and not only wasn't comfortable with the auto aim controls but also didn't understand how to switch weapons or use grenades.

But the loss is yours as much as it is ours. I'll never forget the one time I tried to play Operation Flashpoint with you guys, so highly touted and so hyped to hell that I bought it from Amazon with much anticipation of fun, intense game nights with you cats. At least you actually got the chance to be in a game with us in RDR.

All good points, Zep. But I put a significant chunk of time into single player with RDR, waiting for the light to turn on after memories of that one lousy night of multiplayer were long gone. The room stayed dark.

That said, we must drink scotch together some time! :)

I found it boring as well after about ten hours. It's cool. The art direction is pretty spectacular and I can see the appeal to some but I got sick of it pretty quick.
