The problem with that is you can kill a young QB's confidence if he sucks real bad and starts hearing the boos. Most young QB's fail that method.XXXIV wrote:As for playing Sam. I know what you are saying and it might mess him up but on the other hand if hes the man they think he is the experience will only make him stronger.... Im willing to give it a shot.

I wonder if Bulger called Bradford after the game and said, welcome to my previous job.

Rams vs Dolphins.
At the time it was a huge match up as people thought Miami was good.
Anyway point is...Bulger ...well....Thank you Marc. Have a great life. GO AWAY NOW!
Re: NFL Season 2010
Saw the Denver game and watched the Chosen one. Even though he got creamed on a couple of plays, I thought he did pretty good and scored a TD against scrubs. He threw up a few passes (tight spirals) for long gains that were dropped and one was caught late in the game. He definitely can throw it.
He certainly looked better than Quinn which isn't saying much.

Re: NFL Season 2010
One thing I like that the NFL has done this preseason and I can't recall if they did it last year is to scatter preseason games throughout the week instead of just Saturdays and Sun.
Re: NFL Season 2010
That was one violent hit Eli took.
Good game so far and no sophomore jinx for Sanchez as of yet.

hope Eli is ok. Didn't like watching that.Rodster wrote:That was one violent hit Eli took.
Tomlinson will disprove his detractors. Didn't believe he was finished in the off-season, and following one half of football, i still don't buy it.
Cromartie fits the Jets system. With him on 1 side of the field, the balance of the NFL had better hope Revis doesn't return.
Re: NFL Season 2010
Both LT and JT can still bring it. The Giants 1st Rd DE draft pick looks like a winner...Pierre Paul? It's early preseason but the Jets look good so far.
edit: ESPN says 3 stitches for Eli.

Rex: before you say anything. Pleeeease shut-up. You've already said enuf. Let your team do your talking for you, on the field
thanks

Rodster: yup. Not bad, when you can pick-up your first sack in Week 1 of the pre-season. 3 yrs later and Gholston is still looking for hisRodster wrote:The Giants 1st Rd DE draft pick looks like a winner...Pierre Paul?
enjoying listening to Jon Gruden : )

Rams vs Dolphins.
At the time it was a huge match up as people thought Miami was good...... Anyway the Rams dominated. Was a bloodbath on the scoreboard as it was Rams 42 Dolphins 10. After the game I was very happy...and almost sure the Rams were going to win the SB except for this one thing that did bother me...One thing that left a lasting impression... Warner was beautiful in that game but he never saw any of his passes completed. He was always on his back. He took a massive f***in beating at the hands of Mike Martz ego that day....
Anyway point is...Bulger ...well....Thank you Marc. Have a great life. GO AWAY NOW!

Re: NFL Season 2010
News out of Minneapolis is that Favre is on a plane headed for the Twin Cities area, and that he is back yet again. Last year was arguably his best year ever. There's just no way that he can come close to that again. He is older, slower, more beat up and more weary than he was last year. I really believe he just doesn't have the love for the game anymore. He's coming back because he feels like he owes it to people. The 20 million might have a little something to do with it, too. If he really cared about this team and winning a SB, he would come back and take 4 or 5 million and allow the Vikes to use the other 15 million on another player or 2. He already has so much money he could wipe his ass with 20s for the rest of his life. Take a paycut if it really is not about the money. Every time a player says it's not about the money, it's about the money. I think he would have been better off retired. Stay home with his cougar wife and do other redneck things like make jeans commercials and endorse a pickup truck.
I honestly see the Vikings going 8-8 or 9-7 at best. I think Green Bay wins this division by 1 or 2 games, and the Vikings miss the playoffs. There's just no chance Favre comes back and puts up all pro numbers like last year. I wouldn't be shocked if he is injured during the season and never plays again. I am so bored with Favre, I can't handle another year of hearing tv announcers bring up his age over and over and over and over...

Re: NFL Season 2010
Favre is (still) surrounded by a ton of talent. As long as he doesn't get his ass kicked too bad back there, he'll be ok. It's hard to convince me they are worse with him than without him. I do figure he'll take some games off if they get any breathing room in the standings. And, 9 or 10 wins could get u in the playoffs...

the Vikings hitched their wagon to Favre in the off-season. Unless a capable player like Byron Leftwich is released (who Vader mentioned) Favre is their only way to make a run. Love or hate, Favre is Iron Man. Have to give him that much. If the ankle is ok, then wouldn't bet against him. A big IF
don't know how any Vikes fan would be satisfied with T Jackson even backing up Favre. However, it not my dog

Re: NFL Season 2010
How can you say no to Favre? So what if he doesn't show till the bitter end? He's a vet, he came in late last year and while learning the offense he nearly took the Vikes to the SB. I'd say at his age don't show up for camp or the offseason if you can get the team deep into the playoffs.
Playoffs?

Playoffs?

Re: NFL Season 2010
Dolphins traded Greg Camarillo to the Vikes for Benny Sapp. The Vikes need a WR, but the Dolphins seem to have a good young group of WR's so Camarillo was expendable. The Dolphins also need a guy like Benny Sapp who can play corner and take KR's. Will Allen is still bothered by knee problems. Good trade for both teams even though I hate seeing Camarillo leave.

XXXIV I don't want to jinx your QB so i'll just say he stinks and is not NFL worthy. Nice drive !

Well, I couldn't help it but Bradford did indeed look very good tonight. If we only had a big time receiver and a back up running back.

I was not for drafting him but I am for him succeeding.
Cant wait for the actual games to start.
Lets go Rams!
