Any of you guys using the IPhone 3GS model? I have an option to upgrade to one for $99 and am wondering if it's worth it?
What model IPhone are most of you using for these games? Do the newer games work on the older (Non 4) IPhone models?
Thanks

Game looks and plays amazing on the Ipad! Great great game.greggsand wrote:I just lost 2 weeks of my life to Angry Birds. Crazy addictive. Prob the best .99 I've spent this far.
Re: IPhone/ITouch Game App Thread
3GS would be a big upgrade over the 3G or the original iPhone.
But honestly, the extra $99 for the iPhone 4 is nothing compared to paying a contract for 2 years with data, including the $15 a month data plan.
You get more RAM, better processing power, better battery, better screen plus the gyro which games are going to start to support.
I'm kind of looking forward to Gamecenter because I'm racking up a lot of wins in Words with Friends but there's not tracking of those games at all right now.

iPad version is like $5 isn't it?sportdan30 wrote:Game looks and plays amazing on the Ipad! Great great game.greggsand wrote:I just lost 2 weeks of my life to Angry Birds. Crazy addictive. Prob the best .99 I've spent this far.
I wouldn't call it the best-looking game. Uses physics but it's mostly a flat 2D presentation.
Re: IPhone/ITouch Game App Thread
I just don't know why people would pay that extra $5 to play it on the ipad. I hear it doesn't even have as many levels as the iphone version and honestly the gameplay alone is so addicting that the graphics is the last thing I am worried about. I transfered my iphone version to the ipad and it looks just fine.wco81 wrote:iPad version is like $5 isn't it?sportdan30 wrote:Game looks and plays amazing on the Ipad! Macca:
So I'm trying out the free version/ demo of football manager on the iPhone, and maybe you cam help me.
Twice I've had mail regarding players that I can't find on my squad. Once I sold the guy, the other time it's a note about the player wanting an extension. But for the life of me, I can't find these guys! I can't seem to find my reserve or youth squads, either, so I'm thinking that's my problem.
Any hints?

I picked up Let's Golf 2 a couple days ago, and it's a great step up from the first one. For you guys who have iPhone 4, it has HD graphics, as well. If you remotely liked the first one, you need to pick this one up...

I've been thinking about it Teal. But not for the $5 bucks they're asking as I still play the 1st one and I am afraid that's the same game with prettier graphics.Teal wrote:I picked up Let's Golf 2 a couple days ago, and it's a great step up from the first one. MUCH better courses, more of 'em, a career mode, challenge mode, more characters to choose from...it's not quite the same game with prettier graphics. But it does have prettier graphics...10spro wrote:I've been thinking about it Teal. Can someone recommend a few good games to start me out?

Homerun Battle 3D, FlickKick Football, paper toss, Fruit Ninja (there is something so satisfying about the sound of fruit being sliced by a sword).10spro wrote:NFS shift, RockStar, Let's Golf, Sandstorm, Battle Bears, Doom Resurrection, Power Pros MLB, Flight control, Angry Birds...JackB1 wrote:OK, so I decided to upgrade to an iPhone 3GS.

What is a better racing game, NFS Shift or NFS Underground?

Don't know about Underground, but the controls on Shift are solid along the impressive visuals.JackB1 wrote:What is a better racing game, NFS Shift or NFS Underground?

I am having a blast so far with some of the games I got already:
NFS Free
R2 Hockey
Hit Tennis2
300 Bowl
AMR2 Lite
Moto Chaser
TT STar Lite
Re: IPhone/ITouch Game App Thread
Try 'Let's Golf' or the second version that just came out. Another golf game that I dig is 'Stick Golf'. It's not about graphics or ambiance, but the simplistic strategy of how to get the ball into the hole is worth a look.JackB1 wrote:on a related note, what is the best golf game currently available for the iphone?Diablo25 wrote:I keep checking for a Tiger Woods game for the iPad. Isn't "Lets Golf" a cartoony arcade golf game?10spro wrote:Try 'Let's Golf' or the second version that just came out. Another golf game that I dig is 'Stick Golf'. Probably similar to appshopper.com
It has discounted games, sometimes just for the day and also "free" games listed.

Re: IPhone/ITouch Game App Thread
I tried that Table Top Hokey game and it's fun, but a little slow moving and clunky. I guess
I have to get used to the controls more. Sometimes the puck gets stuck behind the goal and the
AI takes forever to get it moving.
I am really enjoying "Aqua Moto 2"...great controls and graphics. Reminds me of that old PS2 game
Splashdown.
What is the best bowling game on the iPhone? I tried "Action Bowling" and "300 Bowling" and thought both
were just OK.
