I'm already annoyed with those stupid horns. great choice of location. checking my receiver for "a swarm of bees" sound filter... no luck.

I'll go with a tie as it seems to be all the rage so far...

When I mentioned the US v ENG match to some people at work, one guy asked:

"So if America loses, we're out?"
me: "No"

"Will England be out if they lose?"
me: "No"

"Is this is the only time they'll play each other?"
me: "No, they could play again later in the championship game or something."

"So what's the point?"
Me: "USA!!"

Hellas sucking ass so far. Down 1-0 at half.

Terrible on set pieces. Far too much space available for Korea on the counter.

They are not very good when they are playing from behind. Though somehow you would think they would be :P

I tend to agree that England will win but maybe 1-0 or 2-0. The England side tends to suffer from the pucker factor more than our very own Landy Cakes when they play in WC. If i'm not mistaken I don't think our guys scored a goal with the exception of another team knocking one in themselves.

That was the sum of all fears for me...Greeks get behind early and proceed to fall apart acting the fools. Expected but none the less dissapointing. I got up early on saturday for this garbage?!

That give away for the second goal was pathetic.

Though some attack was finally mustered late, as evidenced by the edge in corners, there was predictably no finish.

NOT looking forward to the match with Argentina...Okay I am 8)

Sorry for the loss, but thanks for the recap. I wasn't going to watch that dour match-up for love nor money. :)

If Nigeria doesn't start playing some defense they're going to give up 4.

Who goes to a game to blow a f***in horn all day ?

Zeppo was hoping for that. My take was that his jets would be much more useful as a sub where he'd be facing tired legs. I'm more worried about the fullbacks and Gooch than who's playing up front though.

I'd feel much better about our chances if there were a chance that we could go to penalties! :)

Enjoy, everyone.

I guess the plan is to concede possession and hope to score on a quick counter with selections like Clark and Findley.

US came so close on that post to going up 2-1.

I also thought it was pretty cool how England kept pushing to get the win and like Ruud said save Green.

I enjoyed this game much MUCH more than the first one I saw today...Fun stuff!
