I'm not sure if this has been mentioned as a bug but I thought i'd post it and see if i'm the only one who's seen this.

In My Player mode, i'm Pitching my first game in AA Ball. I'm throwing a shutout in the bottom of the eight. The other side strings a few hits and scores on me making the game 1-1 in the top of the 8th. I know I saw the run score and the screen indicated the game was now tied. I get out of the jam and guess what i'm still winning 1-0. The score apparently didn't get registered. :?

Any one else see this bug?

Can anyone figure out how to slide into second on a steal that ISN"T a foot first slide? it seems I cannot control my slides at ALL when I steal, no matter when I hit the X button and the left stick.

Hold up on left and press x works for me *most of the time*, but yeah, once in a while the dude still goes in feet first.

Turns out I'm really glad I bought this one. After some 50ish games I'm finally comfortable with my slider and difficulty settings, and I'm getting some challenging games with a variety of scores and feels to them. Sure, there are things that are just 'wrong' with the game, like the lack of pop-ups and user walks, but I'm seeing players and pitchers delivering life-like performances according to their capabilities, and the overall feel of the games is far more real than I was expecting. I really feel the battle at the plate when facing a tough pitcher who can hit the corners and paint the black, and I'm even enjoying (and FINALLY having some success with) the pick-off/base stealing cat and mouse game.

I'm sure I would be less charitable if I didn't also have the Show to pop in once in a while, but even with that on my shelf 2k10 is still getting significant time from me. Go figure.

I have the show, and agree with you.

Don't get me wrong, the show is a great game, but 2K is seeing the majority of my playing time, probably 70% to 30%. The pitcher-batter battle is a real hoot, I feel much more in control and a part of the game than I do just pressing the button in the show.

Glad I have them both, as the road to the show is a lot of fun and I do like the manager mode too. But for just picking up and playing 2k has become my go to game.

Of course I now have ootp11, so that will cut into my other baseball games too!

bottom line......for me, The Show is BORING. I have never played so many video baseball games as I have with 2K10 and it's not even May yet! :)

I finally started my season. Having only played friends online, I was blown away by the presentation alone. Amazing stuff with the preview of upcoming games, situational stats, league news, etc..

Now get the damn error/rocket arm patch out there!

edit: per ronnie's twitter: MLB 2K10 Patch (360,PS3) was hung-up in QA, but should be heading to first parties this week. Shouldn't be too long from there

Has it been stated anywhere what the patch will even do?

I've shelved this game for now. I'll hang on to the game for now as I cling to the hope that they fix errors, rocket arms, injuries, infield pop ups, check swings, and pitcher fatigue.

I've had a lot of fun with 2k10 the first couple of weeks, but the problems are significant enough to drive me crazy after a while. Being on the PS3 I can always revert to the Show, but lke Jack stated, it's just boring. My mind tells me I should be loving the Show, but it just has never fully clicked with me.

No patch notes yet.

Are they going to release a fcking patch sometime in 2010?

This game has collected more dust since its purchase... I'm about to trade it in on NCAA 2011.

No kidding. Every time I think about playing it again, I immediately recall no errors, no popups, and no check swings (on the PS3). I want to play this agin, but I vowed to wait until the patch. I'm still waiting.....

I just heard some kid won the $1,000,000 no hitter challenge.
He never plays video games and his Mom told him to try it. He says he got it on his 7th try. Unbelievable!

Time to sell this dog. Update from Ronnie on the next (and likely final) patch:

"UPDATES
Lack of errors and injuries
For the patch we investigated all possible options for getting errors and injuries working properly but were not able to find a solution for the patch. There are limitations on what we can change in the game for the patches and this was too complicated and large of a change to implement. The proper fix for errors and injuries requires additional animations and we are unable to add animations into our game for a patch. Our team is currently working on implementing both errors and injuries into the game for the upcoming year. "

Son of a b*&$^. Lack of errors and lack of injuries were two of my biggest issues with this game. What the heck were they working on the past 2 months for this patch? Oh yeah, fixing how the shadows lined up on the outfield walls.

I wrote them congratulating them on being the 1st bball game in VIDEOGAME HISTORY to not have errors in it. The future is here!
