Palace on the final day could be an interesting 90 minutes, mate, though conceding late on against the Pigs might turn out to be a bit of a kick in the crotch. Still, looks like you'll still have a DSP Derby to look forward to next season, unless the FA come down a ton on us for fielding a suspended player over Easter.fsquid wrote:Looks like I'll need a League One Map for next season.

Must have been that long bus ride. But hey, Cambiasso did an excellent shadowing job on Messi and that was one of Jose's key. Strong show by Inter' D.

Palace 1 WBA 1
It's all on for Sunday, squid !
In other news, City have got PL dispensation to bring another goalie in, as the first 3 keepers in the squad are all out. I say get Joe Hart back for the last 3 games - Birmingham can't make Europe now, and all the 3 relegation places are decided.

massive game. It is on BBC 1 so hopefully a nice stream will pop up for me to watch with my coffee.davet010 wrote:Palace 1 WBA 1

Joe Hart played very well for the Owls a few seasons ago.

Bayern will play Inter, after Guardiola's lack of a Plan B bites him on the arse. Inter played with 10 men for 60-odd minutes after Busquets threw himself to the floor, and Julio Cesar had one shot to save.
Take Messi, Xavi and Pique out of that side, and they wouldn't make it out of the last 16.
Crowd in the Camp Nou did their usual impression of a church audience. Most other clubs would be screaming their team on after Pique pulled it back to 3-2 on aggregate, but some of this lot were leaving with 5 minutes to go. There's more atmosphere on the surface of the Moon.
Some of the more clueless commentators over here were bemoaning the fact that Barca were out. I wonder whether anyone has ever told them that defence is a part of the game as well ?

Well, in fairness the play-acting wasn't limited to Barca - various Inter defenders took turns rolling about after every ball into their area. And a note to players....there are now so many cameras that your sly little looks while rolling about towards the ref are now picked up and replayed endlessly.Feanor wrote:The Barca-slurping in some media quarters is sickening. It's justice that their play-acting and theatrics weren't enough to get them in to the final, even though it was enough to con the ref into sending Motta off today.
Big test for Barca now - Guardiola has spent €100m this last offseason on two players who just don't seem to fit (Ibrahimovic and that Russian defender who is utter garbage). New President this year as well when Laporta steps down.
Hopefully we'll now hear the end of that '6 trophies in a miraculous season' nonsense. Three of them only had 2 entrants, and one was the Copa del Rey, which few of the bigger teams put much effort into anyway - RM were knocked out this season by a non-league team.
