The answer is yes. I am now a member of Game Changers. So?

My question back to you is what does this have to do with TW11 and this thread which is titled "Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 for Consoles - First info"?

Because I'm right. You have an angle on the game like no one else. You come here and promote Tiger. I don't know why you do it. You've had a history with Tiger/PGA in some form and while may not be compensated you have a conflict of interest with the game. And it may just be that you at one time worked with some people on the game and so you have a vested interest with those people or the game. I'm not saying you can't post just that you haven't been totally honest with DSP. You provide "insider" information each year and what's puzzling is how do you get this information if you aren't aren't affiliated with the game in some way?

You have a conflict of interest with Tiger and that's fine it's just that I think you are disingenuous in how you present yourself to the board. I read the news you post about Tiger but I skip past your "recommendations" on the quality of the game because of this conflict of interest.
Right about WHAT? I come here to offer information about the game. What is YOUR problem with that?

Please explain this "conflict of interest" that I supposedly have?

And just EXACTLY how have I been dishonest with DSP?

I have a direct link to the TW Dev Team and have had for almost 10 years. What part of this is a "conflict of interest"? How does this make me "disingenuous" to DSP? Because we have differing opinions about the game? Seriously, you have a major bug up your ass towards me and have had for years. I NEVER respond to anything you post unless I am defending myself or disagree with your opinions about the game. I have also never attacked your credibility, but you damn sure attack mine every year. And what is disappointing is that it is allowed around here. Do you ever post your comments on the EA Tiger forums or do you just sit here and wait to take your potshots at me personally. As far as I am concerned "jrod" you can take a flying leap as I have wasted far too much time defending myself to someone who only attacks others when they don't agree with you. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Yours is not always right and neither is mine, but they are OUR opinions and it is ridiculous to see you get away with this s*** yet again this year.

DivotMaker, thanks for the info. Looking forward to playing this years version. As always no one puts a gun to my head to buy it. It's a fun game. If I want real,I just wait for the weather to break, grab my sticks and head to the course.

JRod, it's a pretty big accusation to say that he hasn't been completely honest. If you want to back it up, then back it up...I'm fine with calling someone out IF they're being dishonest. But if you're not backing it up, then you're just throwing out accusations, and that's not cool.

And anyone is welcome to give their opinions on Tiger (or any game), including people that are affiliated with a game. I think Divot's been pretty fair and honest with us in the past, regardless of his affiliations. It's pretty cheap for anyone to judge him by his affiliations; he's been on the forums for a while, so judge the merit of what he's saying by his track record.

Would Jrod throw out a baseless accusation like that? That's like claiming some baseball player is on the juice on your blog with no real info to base it on.

I'll chime in here. Hitting a golf ball in real life is not hard for a pro, but even the best pro golfer of all time doesn't have the spin manipulation or the accuracy of a "Tiger" golfer. In my opinion, the best a player's accuracy should get is how it is when you first make a golfer and his landing zone is 1/2 the green or more. When you have played 10+ tournaments you can land the ball within 10 feet EVERY single time. Add to that the ability to spin the ball like Greg Norman in his prime even from deep rough and it doesn't really seem realistic. If you're in the fairway from 180 yards and in and don't have 20+ mph winds, you can get the ball within 5 feet more times than not. No golfer in the history of the game has had that ability. Part of it is how small the landing zone is, but a lot of that is spin. If you overshoot it all you gotta do is spin the hell out of it and you can back it up 45 feet and put it tight. Tiger 07 (I think) was the last Tiger that challenged you. I remember the first month with that game I could barely hit it straight. Tiger players complained about the difficulty and the game went from challenging to a cakewalk. My gf saw me playing it and wanted to give it a shot. She knows as much about video games as a 70 year old Vietnam vet, but after a few hours she was hitting great shots. I played the hell out of the game and enjoyed it, I just wished I was challenged. The only challenge in Tiger comes from being forced to play in insanely windy conditions where the CPU golfers will shoot a 59-61 just like they would in ideal conditions. The game made me feel like it had to cheat to make it a challenge. My buddy Mike is a Tiger guru and he has gone entire tournaments with only a handful of par or worse. Some kids may want to hit it 330 and shoot 17 under, but I am not in that mindset. I think JRod feels the same as me. I am not trying to attack you at all Divot, but in my memory I can't really remember you saying much negative about the game and I am sure that's where JRod is coming from. I just wish someone would give us a golf game where shooting 6 or 7 under in a round made you feel like you really shot well. I've been 6 under thru 4 holes before in Tiger lol.

Have you read the following Blog from the Sr. Producer?

http://tigerwoodspgatour.easports.com/b ... first_blog
Variable Wind – This was something we saw you guys asking for a lot on the boards and in the community in general. With the addition of variable winds, the game will mimic real life wind effects much more realistically. So you’ll have to take the wind into account on a shot to shot basis much more this year. The wind will blow and gust just like it does in real life even after the ball is in flight!
Realistic Shot Spread Within Aiming Circle – In last year’s game, your shot would land in the center of the aiming circle if you hit it perfectly. While this offered a very precise way to play the game, we wanted to create a more realistic landing pattern with Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11. So we implemented a new physics system that emulates human error much more closely. In this year’s game, the ball will still land within the aiming circle if hit perfectly, but not necessarily in the center. The new system will create a more realistic landing pattern within the aiming circle than ever before.
Those two features alone will increase scoring dramatically over what you could score in TW10.

And as far as me being negative about the game, you and JRod may be remembering what you choose to remember because I have been very critical about many of EA's shortcomings with the series in the past. I am quite sure a cursory look at past TW threads will bear this out. I am as hard as anyone on EA when they deserve it. Unlike previous years though, I will wait this year to give any opinions about gameplay in TW11, because what I see in the Community Day events often changes once more time is spent with the game once it has shipped. This year, I am going to wait until after I have had time with the actual release version before judging gameplay. However, I will continue to give my opinions if asked about the new features we saw and how they might impact gameplay.

My problem isn't that he defends TW or that he's affiliated with it. It's that he has a conflict of interest with the game and posting. As for my proof, GTH posted it. I think he should have volunteered from the beginning this information and said, he look I have this relationship with the TW devs what does DSP want to know?

I think his relationship has come to light and that's all I cared about was having the forum and myself know what his deal is. Nothing about Tim made any sense.

And as for attacking Tim this has nothing to do with our opinion of the TW. I has to do with the fact that you weren't upfront on your relationship with TW. And that relationship seems to have you "like clockwork" come here and promote/defend TW. That was my problem with you. As fletcher said, you were quick to defend but not quick to criticize. You did change your tune in the last year or so. And most of you coming straight has been me questioning how do you get this information if you just are an avid gamer.

Now that your history in full is open for DSP to see that's all I've been asking for for the last few years. It's too bad you didn't volunteer this instead a DSP'er had to post it for you.

It thought it has been common knowledge for years around here that Tim had EA/TW insider affiliation. I want to say that goes back to the SR years. I have seen him criticize TW's design decisions, etc., particularly as it relates to what they did to the PC franchise the last couple releases previous to this online beta. Keep the information coming on TW releases Tim, many of us look forward to it.

For the record I have never seen Divot defend TW games. If anything he puts out information to us. If we have a criticism of the game and he agrees he usually tries to forward that information on to others.

One example was the hideous Putting animation where every Putt looked like it was from 40 feet. He agreed and said he would try and make it known.

I volunteered this information YEARS ago. The fact that I am part of Game Changers is irrelevant. My 11 year history with the TW series and EA has been well documented and discussed here for as long as I have been a member of DSP. A fact that is NOT in dispute.

It was. And I've seen Tim criticize the game many times here and at OS. Conflict of interest my ass.

This. Divot's connection was well known. If anyone wanted to keep that in mind when considering his opinions, of course that would be their right. But I certainly don't think he has been trying to put anything over on us here.

I've known about his relationship with Tiger Woods for YEARS, and this wasn't from some sort of inside information....I knew through content in his posts (and, by these other posts, lots of other members have too). And I've seen him criticize TW in the past as well.

An that fact that GT alludes that it is part of his job now that he is a Game changer as if he were being paid is ridiculous. Sure GC's are suppose to be active in the community, but the people selected were already active. it's not like they were told you need this many posts a month for your check.

Hell I would say that if you come to this conclusion, then you would have to conclude that GT is being paid for his anti-EA agenda over the 4 years I have been here. It finally got him banned from OS, how he continues to get away with it on this forum is beyond me.

At least Tim isn't hiding from the fact he has a relationship.

Divot when you are allowed let us know if that feature will be in the PS3 version? I'm in for the Wii version but if True View works as good or better for the PS3 i'll go that route instead.

EA has already announced that the new PS3 Arc will be supported by TW11 once it is out. EA will release a patch to enable the new controller functionality.
