Also congrats to Slumberland on a perfect season as well. . .hard to believe that we have two 16-0 teams. . .in the same Conference nonetheless. . .

Jared would tell you that you made the right decision. :D

I'll also do a regular season stat wrap-up when we flip.

Very cool, Brando.

I'm planning on doing the "Game Preview" gig for each playoff game, as well. Not sure how to do the end of season awards voting--whether I should nominate finalists or just put out the categories and let people choose their own based on the stats.

If you include individual player stats in your write-up, it would probably be easier to just give out award categories and let everybody vote by choosing their own instead of "finalists".

Hey Badgun, you up for knocking our game out before the flip?

I'd prefer to schedule something for tomorrow around 9 or 10 PM EST.

Have a lot going on tonight that will make it a tough night to play but will try if you are absolutely unavailable for tomorrow.

I'm going to do top 10 teams by total offense and total defense, then top 10 players in the major categories, including special teams.

I can play tomorrow night but it would have to be around 11 eastern if you can swing that

I can swing 11 Eastern... I think that might be late for the flip, but if I'm wrong or if Danimal could give us an extension, I'd prefer to get the game in instead of what would be my third consecutive sim. Thanks, Bad.

Game is in the books. Giants win 31-28 in OT.

GameSeven froze up in the 3rd quarter leading 21-7 and we agreed that neither of us wanted to start over since the game had no bearing on anything so I played it out against the CPU.

He got up 21-7 with two long runs by Brandon Jacobs and a long pass to Hakeem Nix I think. He outplayed me while he was there and he deserved to win.

I actually tied the game up with Jon Kitna running the offense in the 2nd half but he also threw a pick that was returned for a TD.

Overtime saw the Cowboys get the ball first and take it to midfield before stalling. The Giants then got the ball and moved quickly to field goal range and finished it off.

Anyway, good game G7, you kicked my butt while you were there.

As I said during the game, I think I used up some accumulated karma on those first three drives. Shame about the lockup, but thanks for the wrap-up of the second half.

Good luck in the playoffs. If Terry was right, I had an outside shot at a wildcard, but the Saints win would have finished that.

I'm planning on sticking around for one more season, so I'll catch you guys next time.

After I did that first preview and the power rankings, I realized that I could really kill this thread with a bunch of large images like that (the table itself doesn't transfer to this forum code properly, so I basically create a big PNG out of it and present it that way).

If everybody wants to keep a fairly quick-loading thread, I can kill the huge image files and just do a basic write up or something. Or I can just scrap the idea entirely.

Terry -

Not an issue for me.

All -

Note #1 - Playoffs round one games need to be done by Weds. I am hoping they don't take that long. With that said Todd I am not available until Sunday to play but am free Sun-Wed. So maybe Sunday night.

Note #2 - I've asked Jared that after this season is over if we could get a sub forum like the baseball league has. I don't think it is an issue. I will be posting the off-season schedule in the next day or two.

Note #3 - To my knowledge the only people not coming back are Slumber, Scoop and Badgun. With that said I said last year I wasn't going to allow this but I will throw it out there. If anyone wants to switch teams BEFORE we start the off season so they move into a division with more human opponents that is fine. I can't imagine being the only human in a division is fun.

Also if you can vouch for someone they can join the league. But I don't want people who are going to come and go like some of our previous owners. I will in fact be changing the password for the league at seasons end.

Note #4 - Finally in talking to Bill I had an idea, however I don't know how we could make this happen. But it would be cool if we could get some guys not in the league, to handle the cpu teams FA bidding process we'll do this year.

I don't think it could be league members because there is a definite conflict of interests. Think we could get 4 or 5 DSP guys to handle a bunch of teams? Think this is a bad idea?

Not a bad idea at all if you can get people to do it. Would help out a lot, almost like a "GM mode".

Hell, a guy can even do the draft for the team and see if he can build a winner (although against humans that would suck).

I don't want to discourage my Panthers heading into the playoffs, but if Badgun isn't coming back, I'll take over the Cowboys.

Actually, I am giving a lot of thought to sticking around another season. I have really enjoyed it so far so I may hang out for another season. If not, then the Cowboys are yours.

I'd prefer you stay but I'll need your ultimate decision before we start the off season so probably a week or two.

Dan,

Per note one. . .any of those days work for me. . .so just let me know. . .Sunday at 9:30-10pm would probably be my preference. . .

Per note four, that would be a lot of fun. . .nothing like throwing some chaos into our off-season. . .either way this FA period will be a blast
