-1 ranking

Post by SRNomad »

Have any of you guys gotten the -1 rating? The rating system was kind of screwy the first week or so. I got disconnected from a game, when I came back my 1600 rating fell to -1 ! It is still there, I am unable to gain points at all. So, I went ahead and changed my gamertag just so I could post lap times.

If its alright, I would like to race with you guys sometime. It's hard to find some clean racers out there. Now that there is 10,000 plus people on this game. I'm not that great of a racer, but I am a clean racer.

Welcome SRNomad:

The -1 rating is related to the same problem that causes the "no rating" glitch. Both are going to be fixed by a patch which will include some other minor fixes.

Feel free to add me to your friends list (gamertag: mixdj1) and I'll be sure to send you an invite when I'm online.

Cars running at odd angles and through the track on oval courses.

One cheat that can be used online (not gonna say what it is to discourage it's use) will be removed from online play

Scoreboards will be reset

Pause cheat removed (don't know what this is)

The glitch posted here earlier that let's you use cars on tracks outside their series will be removed (bummer, but I guess it has to do with licensing - and it can screw up lap times)

Yeah, but if I tell you what it is then it won't give me an advantage anymore. :D Seriously though, I despise cheating and would never use a cheat code online. My reasoning does seem a little off for posting here at DSP. I trust you guys like I trust my own brother (well, if I had a brother). Anyway, supposedly the swap RWD - FWD code works online and will let you drive the high powered RWD cars as if they were FWD cars.

Join the club. I've had the -1 rating for a while now.

A player can let the CPU take over his/her car by pausing the game, and the CPU will drive it flawlessly. Some people have repeatedly taken advantage of this by pausing at sections of a circuit where they figure they may either A.) screw up their run or B.) go comparably slower while racing against others. Then the player has the option of retaking control of the car after unpausing the game.

There's also another patch in the fix that will be VERY welcome by many online racers. My contact at Codemasters told me about it, but it was off the record.

Sorry, I'm keeping my promise to him. But everyone will be pleased.

Take care,

-1 for me as well. I did send an email to CodeMasters and they said there is a patch coming to fix this problem. However, he also said by "re-logging on" or "re-setting my account" should restore my rating points.

I had no luck with either one of these suggestions.

When I wrote back asking how to reset my account, I was sent back the same email with the same response.

Anyone know how to reset your account?
