I can't remember the last time a sports game took this big of a graphics leap from one year to the next. The Show last year was a beautiful game, but the new broadcast fielding cam, real time presentation, dramatically improved lighting/shadows, all take it to a new level. Kudos, and a HUGE thank you to SCEA for giving us an outstanding baseball game.

definitely, GT.

able to notice the differences of the broadcast cam, you had referred to a few weeks back. It makes it look like a baseball game, instead of a videogame

I will agree the new camera's and the presentation sure make it feel totally different but not sure how the correlates into the best graphical jump ever.

My thoughts exactly. Aside from some of the clear video game animations at times it looked close to the real thing.

That sux Vinny. The next time turn off JavaScript in your browser. A lot of times advertisers for these types of sites will run that crap "let me scan your PC....errrr "I'm going to scan your PC for viruses and there is nothing your going to do about it."

What I have done in the past is "don't click anywhere on the page" and shut down the browser via Task Manager.

I had this happen to me twice at Socceraccess.com trying to get the PES 2009 mods. Every time I go to that site I disable JavaScript.

Same bull s**t happened to me a couple weeks ago over at OS when looking at a video. Unfortuately, it happened on my work computer on Friday afternoon. Thankfully, our IT guy was in town on an unrelated job, and was able to fix it by Monday morning. What a major pain in the a**!

I've learned my lesson. I don't watch any more onlin videos while at work.

Vinny I don't know what OS you are using but if it's Vista or Windows 7 the built-in UAC should stop any type of malware injection.

When it happened to me Windows 7 flashed a prompt for an installation and I immediately said "NO". And the prompt kept coming and them Microsoft Security Essentials began to alert me about a potential malware/spyware threat. That's when I shut down my browser via task manager.

I highly suggest you install MSE i.e. Microsoft Security Essentials. It's a built in AV and Malware real-time protection scanner. It's damn good and it's free. It runs on XP/Vista/Windows 7.

Yeah I am going to jinx myself but since installing windows 7 I've averted several malware threats.

I also keep Malware Bytes on my PC anyway, best tool IMO for removing these things.

I must be seeing a different game or videos because the game looks pretty much the same to me...which isn't a bad thing. The visuals were fabulous last year. Now if you guys are referring to the way the broadcast cam brings more atmosphere to the game then ok...but I don't see a huge leap graphically.

Yeah, I don't think it's leaps and bounds better graphically either. I think moreso there are little subtle differences that give it a more overall realistic look and feel. Maybe it's not as bright, or perhaps it just has a more authentic look to it. I'm sure the broadcast presentation has something to do with it too (viewing it from a slightly different angle).

AVG has gotten bad reviews. You're better off with MSE, Avira PE, or Avast. What I like about MSE is that it replaces malwarebytes, superantispyware, AVG. It's an all in one AV suite, that's free.

Yup, look at all the horrible reviews on CNet. LOL. AVG is fantastic, even the free version...I use it on about 15 different PCs with users of almost all skill levels and it hasn't let me down.

For those who haven't seen it, a new video showcasing the RTP is up. Maybe it's just me, but the new TV broadcast camera cuts, improved lighting, and RTP, really do take it to the level I've been waiting for them to reach.

If only they could do football, instead of the clowns at Tiburon.

Was a demo planned for today, or are you just hoping the universe drops the demo? :)

Just hoping. From what I understand, at the same time last year, it had already been out two weeks prior.

I guess I'm one of the only people who doesn't want a demo. I know the game is gonna be badass...it's almost a guarantee. So I'd rather just be surprised on the release day when I can play with teams I actually like. :)

That's how I feel, too, but I'll still download the demo first chance I get tonight. This site is showing the demo as rumored content for today's PS store update, but official confirmation probably won't come until around 6 or 7 pm est tonight.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still download it, but I just won't play it much.

Yeah, no matter how good the game is, it's challenging enough to keep it fresh for 162 games. No demo, or even goofing around with exhibition games for me. That's one of the great things about The Show, I know I can just set it at All-Star default and dive right into my season.
