OT: Don't leave your kid alone with the doctor
A shocking story about a pedophile pediatrician in Delaware who abused his patients in the "Pinocchio room" while their parents waited nearby.

"The thing that makes this case so troubling and horrific is the alleged abuse of trust in this matter," said Biden. "These are highly specialized cases where no one in the community could believe someone could do this to a child, to a child who is voiceless."
Biden said that some of the alleged victims were just months old. If convicted, Bradley could face life in prison, according to Biden.
If convicted he won't serve out his life sentence. I'm sure his fellow inmates will see to that. At least there will be justice for a bastard like that.

Truly one of the most reviling things I've ever read. And to think, that the parents of the child that prompted the investigation *brought her back* after her first complaint. Not faulting per se, as this is an almost unthinkable monster. Just commenting on how awful they must feel.
I am also amazed at how so many parents of toddlers thought it normal that this demon be allowed to take their toddlers to a "downstairs" room at the facility.
Thank God this little girl had a voice for all of the kids who did not.
Shocking and saddening...

I think parents should always accompany their kids no matter what. What if the doctor and nurse were both in on it? Way too many weirdos out their to be taking a chance today.Feanor wrote:If it was a doctor and a nurse I might think its OK for the kid to be alone with them, but not this creepy guy on his own.

Hell, he might not even make it through sentencing... you gotta think one of the parents is going to put a hit out on him.Rodster wrote: If convicted he won't serve out his life sentence. I'm sure his fellow inmates will see to that. At least there will be justice for a bastard like that.
What a disturbing story, but those parents are nuts to let their kid alone in a room with anyone. Doctor or not.

I'm with you, bro. I'm always with my kids in waiting rooms and examining rooms. ALWAYS.MizzouRah wrote:I always go with my kids into the waiting rooms and stay while they are being examined.
Safety is one of the reasons, but the main reason is that I want to know what the hell is wrong with my kid when we're seeking medical attention. I don't want the Cliffs Notes version after the examination. I want to be there and be an active part of any decision making or treatment options -- knowledge is power.

Exactly. We do the same thing for the same reason.pk500 wrote:I'm with you, bro. I'm always with my kids in waiting rooms and examining rooms. ALWAYS.MizzouRah wrote:I always go with my kids into the waiting rooms and stay while they are being examined.

Same here. I would never think of leaving my kids alone with a doctor. Can't believe I read this before lunch.JackDog wrote:Exactly.
