and it truly looks awesome . I'm using VGA and set it to 1300 pixels which perfectly matches my tv's max. Actually games also look much crisper and more brilliant with the VGA cord.

My only question is, while watching dvd's the friends who get online, etc. messages keep popping up. Is there a way to disable this?

When you hit the guide button there is an option in personal settings to turn notifications off completely or just off while watching movies.
