NHL 2004 PC MOD

I don't know if any of you guys know about this mod but I just want to get the word out that this mod is incredible. All the info about the mod is on flyermania.com. Go check it out. I will say this that after installing the mod (which took quite a few hours) this is the best hockey sim I have ever played...even better than all of the current hockey games for the consoles. This game reminds me of the old NHL 94 on the Sega Genisis with updated graffics, smooth as butter gameplay, and more complex controls. This is the MVP 05 of pc hockey. Just go check it out! I can't praise this mod enough!

I can vouch for the mod at flyermania.net. The site proprietor, Randy, did a great job. He's also a hell of a nice guy, as he followed up questions I had about the mod very quickly and enthusiastically.

Heh, good thing I didn't post a nasty spam reply after trying flyermania.com.

NHL 2004 PC was a pretty fun game. Amazed people still tinkering with it.

I'll say this, and this is just my opinion, I like NHL 10 on the 360 & ps3, but there is just something about this mod that takes me back to the days of playing NHL 94 on the Sega Genesis. When I'm not playing the game, I can't stop thinking about getting back to firing up my pc and playing some real sim style hockey. Now I'm 40 years old and I've played every video hockey game ever made...NHL 94 was the most fun I ever had with a video hockey game ever! This game gives me those same feelings, and in all honesty this mod blows NHL 94 away in realism, graffics, & gameplay. I can't wait to get out of work, get home, get the kids to bed, hope the wife goes to sleep early, and fire up the pc for some hockey goodness. This is the best Xmass present I could have gotten myself!

NHL 94 is my all time favorite hockey game too (see my profile pic

), but far from a sim. I guess you mean that this mod is sim, but it has the addictive gameplay of 94.

I'll have to dig for my old NHL 2004 disc. This mod works well single-player/franchise mode right?
