^^ Great work there Danimal. Man I miss not being in season 2.TCrouch wrote:That is...the coolest f*cking thing I've ever seen for a league.
Incredible amount of work, Dan. That's insane. Can't even say enough about it.
I'll upload more than 1 video this week...wow
The *only* thing I'd do is lower the music volume a bit--tough to hear you on some lines.
Great job on the highlight video and power rankings Dan and Terry!
Pittsburgh goes to 2-0 with a 35-12 win over Buffalo. Willie Parker had another big game and finished with 20 carries for 170 yards rushing and 1 td. Ben Roethlisberger finished 7 out of 12 for 95 yards and 1 td. Trent Edwards was 24 out of 32 for 310 yards 1 td and 2 ints.
After a scoreless first quarter Buffalo put together a long drive in the second quarter and appeared to be on their way to scoring first but James Harrison intercepted Trent Edwards and took it 89 yards for the score to put the Steelers up 7-0:

Willie Parkers biggest gain of the day was a 47 yard run that came in the second quarter and would lead to a 1 yard td run from Leron James:

With only 6 seconds to go in the half and after Buffalo had just kicked their second field goal in the 2nd quarter to pull within 8 points Santonio Holmes returns the kickoff 94 yards for a td to put Pittsburgh up 21-6 at halftime:

Well the EA servers got me again. I got another disconnect during my game with the cpu but fortunately this one was midway through the 1st quarter instead of midway through the 4th. Maybe I just need to stay away on Fridays.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

Tried again today and was able to finish the game.
Colts go into Cincinnati and get the win 32-17. The score indicates that it was closer than it really was. The Colts dominated time of possession 34:09 to 13:51 and total offense 367 to 137.
The first quarter saw both teams start off slow despite the Colts ability to move the ball. The uneventful quarter ended 3-0 in favor of the Colts.
The second quarter saw the Colts take a 10-0 lead on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Manning to Addai. The Colts defense started taking over the game until a costly interception of Manning by Johnathan Joseph gave the Bengals the ball in the redzone. Carson Palmer capitalized by throwing a 7-yard strike to Chad Ochocinco to make the score 10-7. The Colts responded with a drive that resulted in a field goal to make the score 13-7. The Bengals quickly got into field goal position themselves to pull within 3 points as the half ended. Halftime saw the Colts winning 13-10.
The third quarter opened with a bang thanks to this 84-yard touchdown pass from Peyton Manning to Joseph Addai:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Midway through the 3rd quarter saw Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer exit the game for the second time after getting sacked. This time Palmer would not return which spelled doom for the Bengals as backup quarterback Kevin Huber was in way over his head and looked absolutely terrible.
This touchdown on a 2-yard run by Donald Brown with 1-minute left in the third gave the Colts a 27-10 lead heading into the 4th quarter:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
A goalline stand gave the Bengals the ball at their own 1-yard-line which led to this sack of Huber to make the score 29-10:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
A cocky Peyton Manning threw another interception on a third-and-four that provided the Bengals with points the only way possible with Huber as the field general. Here's Johnathan Joseph's second interception of the game:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Having learned his lesson, Manning kept giving the rock to Donald Brown who again took over the Colts running game for a mostly ineffective Joseph Addai. Of note was this nice 33-yard run which helped milk the clock:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Statline:
Colts:
Peyton Manning: 14-of-23 for 224 yards 2 tds & 2 ints
Joseph Addai: 11 rushes for 39 yards, 4 receptions for 114 yards & 2 tds
Donald Brown: 19 rushes for 109 yards & 1 td
Bengals:
Carson Palmer: 15-of-23 for 131 yards & 1td
Kevin Huber: 3-for-13 for 19 yards
Cedric Benson: 8 rushes for 19 yards
Chad Ochocinco: 3 receptions for 34 yards & 1 td

Giants fall to Texans, 21-13
Brandon Jacobs answered the call to the hot seat with an up-and-down performance that would see him gain over 150 combined yard, but factor into two plays that would prove costly to the Giants in Houston.
Jacobs saw action early and often:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
But he would lead to points for the opposition on two key plays.
First, with time winding down in the first half and the Texans driving, Michael Johnson would come up big, picking off Matt Schaub in the endzone:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
However, the ruling on the field, despite Tom Coughlin's furious protests was that Johnson had left the end zone and the ball would be spotted at the 1 yard line. Brandon Jacobs would receive the handoff deep in the end zone but was unable to escape, giving the Texans 2 points and the ball.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
But the worst was yet to come for Jacobs. After trading scores with Houston, including this 54 yard field goal by Giants' rookie Mike Klem, the Giants would get the ball at midfield off an interception by off-season acquisition Quentin Mikell.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Jacobs would get the Giants into the red-zone on the following catch and run:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
However on the next playcall, perhaps suspect with the winded tailback in mind, Jacobs would put the ball on the turf and yield possession and, seemingly, the game as both the Giants' offensive and defensive units seemed to be in disarray.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Eli Manning continued his early struggles with 3 picks versus a single TD pass to TE Kevin Boss.
Giants continue their road trip in New Orleans and Dallas before heading home for a home opener against the Lions. The Texans will begin a 5 game road trip, that will lead them up to their bye week, in Dallas.

Good game, G7, very tough-hitting, defensive contest. The spot after that endzone interception and the Jacobs fumble really cost you.
A couple of other highlights from the Texans side:

With about five minutes left in the game and the Texans down 13-12, Schaub hit rookie receiver Graham Gallon on a key 3rd and 7. Rookie RB Joshua Williams, in for an injured Steve Slaton, made a key block to buy Schaub an extra second.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Gallon's reception set up this run by Schaub, who took advantage of a wide open field to lumber into the endzone and give the Texans an 18-13 lead. An interception by rookie safety Will Barkley on the ensuing drive led to a Kris Brown FG that made it 21-13.

The Jets took early control of the AFC East in a hard fought game where they defeated the Dolphins 24-9. The game started with an early Miami drive, which looked to culminate in a touchdown pass to rookie B Trammell. Unfortunately, the video highlight below cuts out the important part...
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
What this doesn't show is that Trammell clearly caught the ball inbounds, but the play was ruled an incomplete pass. Miami challenged, and yet the call inexplicably stood. This was important, because on the very next play....
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
...Pennington was picked off trying to thread the needle on a pass to Davone Bess.
Late in the second half, Miami had a chance to score on a Sean Smith interception return, but a stumble at the sideline led to a touchdown saving tackle.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Miami, as they did all game, struggled with their offense and only scored a field goal to make it 7-3 Jets.
The third quarter continued scoreless, until midway through the fourth quarter. Up 7-3, the Jets went for it on 4th and goal at the 1 looking to put the game away. They scored on a Mark Sanchez QB sneak to go up 14-3. On the next possession, Miami drove to make it 14-9 on a 22 yard pass to Davone Bess. However, the Dolphins couldn't hold on the next possession, as Thomas Jones broke two big runs, including a 28 yard touchdown run to clinch the game, and take a big step towards the AFC East crown very early in the season.
Miami was destroyed in the time of possession battle, losing 33:21 to 15:39. Miami also lost the third down battle, with the Jets going 6 for 13, with Miami (stymied by many third and long plays) going 2 for 9. Chad Pennington went 16 for 33 with 200 yards passing, one TD and 3 INTs. The Miami running game was largely abandoned, with Ronnie Brown leading the way with 6 (yes, six) yards on five carries. Miami looks to regroup next week against the CPU Patriots.
(N.B. The patch has basically killed about half of the plays in the Wildcat, making them unusable. I had real problems adjusting, and I abandoned the run entirely too early instead of trying to work it out. The Jets did a great job of using the clock, as I often had no answer for their third and medium plays. Great game Slumberland.)

What this doesn't show is that Trammell clearly caught the ball inbounds, but the play was ruled an incomplete pass. Miami challenged, and yet the call inexplicably stood. This was important, because on the very next play....

...Pennington was picked off trying to thread the needle on a pass to Davone Bess.
Late in the second half, Miami had a chance to score on a Sean Smith interception return, but a stumble at the sideline led to a touchdown saving tackle.

Jets defeat the Dolphins 24-9 at the Meadowlands. Both teams were plagued by turnovers (three INT's for Pennington, two INT's for Sanchez and a fumble by Justin Gage) and struggled to establish the ground game, but Gang Green made enough big plays down the stretch to take the W.
After a scoreless first quarter, Sanchez led the Jets down the field and set up a 1-yard TD run by fullback Tony Richardson, while the Dolphins answered by turning an interception into three points on a 37-yard D. Carpenter field goal into a wicked crosswind.
The score remained 7-3 until the fourth quarter, when Sanchez was able to find Dustin Keller for 36 yards and get the Jets back into the red zone:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Faced with 4th and goal on the 1-yard line a few plays later, the Jets coach figured that in order to break their losing streak against coach Jared's 'Fins, playing it safe wouldn't do. Luckily, Sanchez was able to tumble into the end zone without much in the way of contact:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
The Dolphins answered back with a 22-yard strike to D. Bess that made it 14-9:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
A pivotal moment, as the Dolphins go for two to bring them to within a field goal:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
And then after a day where it felt like Thomas Jones was repeatedly running into a brick wall, he squeezed through the line to make it 21-9, a 29-yard run:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Jones would finish with 91 yards on the day, on 29 carries. The Jets added a field goal after Pennington's second interception.
Good game, Jared. Their nerfing of the wildcat probably helped me quite a bit.
Oh, and Jared was totally robbed on that replay in the end zone! Who knows how things would have transpired.

Browns 34 Titans 21
The Browns Defense grabbed two INTs and Two Fumbles and rode the immense backside of Jamal Lewis, 20 Carries, 153 Yards, 1TD to beat the Titans in Cleveland in late Sunday Night DSPL Action. . .
The Titans set a poor tone early as McNabb channels his inner Cutler and gets impatient on the rollout:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Chris Johnson gets an early highlight (unrealistically) running over Shaun Rogers to get into the endzone for the score. . .

Donovan McNabb hit a snag in game two as the Titans QB, but he has shown a real flair for the long TD pass. . .he hooked up for a 68 yard TD pass to Westbrook and a 59 yard play to TE Bo Scaife:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Ultiamtely though, it was the Browns Defense who owned the day, and as the Titans were trying to get the ball in for one last score to set up an unlikely onside recover. . .the Browns D-Line causes one more fumble to put the icing on the cake:
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Both teams now 1-1, the Browns take some momentum into their bye week and the Titans face off against many of their old teammates as they travel to the "City of Brotherly Love" in the "big-trade bowl" next week. . .that certainly should be an interesting match-up

The Bears travelled to St. Louis and came out with a narrow victory in a game that was odd to say the least. The first 3 quarters were a snooze-worthy morass of punts and dropped passes. The only scores were a FG by the Rams and a short TD pass from Jay Cutler to James Davis. Otherwise the teams exchanged long drives that amounted to nothing but time chewed up.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Davis finds the end zone for the only TD of the first half.
The second half was an altogether different and crazy monster, with each team scoring 21 unanswered points before the Bears put away the pesky Rams.
It looked like the Bears found their rhythm and were going to cruise. They scored twice on quick strikes from Cutler to Gregg Olsen set up by long Devin Hester punt returns.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>

Olsen makes the Rams secondary pay for trying to strip the ball[/i]
The Bears were preparing their coup de grace, a beautiful play-action strike from Cutler to Hester for a 28-yd TD when the tide changed. The score was costly, as Cutler went down with bruised ribs.

A great but costly TD, as it ushered in the Billy Volek experience.
The Rams took advantage of the shel-shocked Bears and scored their first ever franchise return TD.
<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>
Avery turns the tide
Bill Volek trotted onto the field only to see his first attempt picked and converted into a 10yd TD run by Stephen Jackson. Cutler returned only to throw an pick himself, this one returned for a TD by the suddenly surging Rams! The Rams were prepared to go for 2 to make it a 3 point game, but a delay of game forced them to kick the PAT and try to stop the floundering Bears.
The Bears got the offense that they needed down the stretch. Cutler made an ill-advised but successful pass on 3rd and 8 from his own 20 to convert and launch the Bears on a drive that would effectively end the game with a late Matt Forte TD.
Despite the score, the Bears D was sound for the second straight game, holding Jackson to just 50yds and limiting Mark Bulger to 118 yards passing. Offensively, the Bears were led by Cutler and Olsen, with Forte picking up some late runs to make his numbers look respectable.

Just a reminder week 2 deadline is tomorrow night at 11pm CT.
Last look there were a lot of games left to be played. Because of all the late played games I doubt i will be able to turn a highlight show around tomorrow night.

A tale of two games. One a slow an ugly taffy pull up until late in the third and the other a balls out barn burner to close it out...
You played a hell of a game. Some beautiful passing and nasty shut down D.
The 2-0 Bears look on track to be at home for the playoffs once again this season.
The winless Rams on the other hand are left searching for answers as the questions continue to mount. As a Rams fan Id like to see everyone fired.
Dallas Cowboys 24 - Washington Redskins 30 OT
Irving, TX;
In an overtime stunner, the Washington Redskins came from 14 points behind in the 4th quarter to send this divisional game to overtime, and despite going three and out to start the extra session, found themselves the recipient of the graces of Lady Luck as Kevin Barnes recovered a fumbled punt and returned it 23 yds for the winning TD early in overtime.
The Cowboys controlled the play for the first half, their offense proving to be unstoppable by the Redskins defense. They took a 17-10 lead into the halftime break, and the Redskins lone TD was thanks to an interception returned for the score by Barnes. Other than that TD, the Redskins offense could only muster one field goal, and they ended the half with fewer than half as many yards as the Cowboys' 300-plus.
The second half saw the Skins defense stiffen and hold the Cowboys to only one 3rd quarter TD. That touchdown, expanding the home team's lead to 24-10, was the last time the Cowboys would add points to the scoreboard. A missed 4th quarter field goal from Nick Folk proved to be key. For their part, the Redskins couldn't create much on offense either, at least until the 4th quarter got underway.
With about 8 minutes remaining in regulation, Jason Campbell took advantage of a London Feltcher interception at the Dallas 24, and five plays later he found Antwan Randle El for the 9yd TD pass to cut the lead to seven at 24-17.
On the next possession, Tony Romo led his Boys across the fifty and into Redskins territory, but that drive stalled out near midfield. On third and long, 2nd year LB/DE Brian Orakpo hit Romo too late and gave the home team a free first down. But the drive stalled again, and with 2:28 to go in regulation Nick Folk missed a 47 yd FG that would have put the Cowboys ahead by ten.
Campbell and Co. too advantage of the lucky break and put together their only sustained drive of the game. The 6th year QB out of Auburn engineered a 12 play drive starting on their own 37 with fewer than three minutes remaining in the game. With time running out, Campbell found Atwan Randle El from 2 yards out for the tying TD with 4 seconds left on the clock. The Suisham PAT was good, and the game headed for OT.
The Redskins won the toss in OT, but they couldn't move the ball and ended up with the dreaded three-and-out to start the extra session. On the punt, the Cowboys return man Felix Jones, who had fair-caught throughout the game in the face of un-blocked gunners, decided to field this one in OT, and that proved to be a mistake. He was hit by Fred Smoot with the hammer stick, and fumbled the punt. The ball was picked up off the ground by Barnes, and he encountered no resistance on his way to the game winning score, giving the Redskins a seemingly stolen 30-24 victory at the Gi-normous Video Screen Support Structure Stadium.
Washington improves to 2-0 and must now get set to meet the Indianapolis Colts, while Dallas falls to 2-1 and must prepare for a, intra-state battle against the 1-1 Houston Texans.
Heck of a game, Badgun. It really was pretty epic. Frankly, I don't know how I shut you down in the 2nd half, but expect lots more of that when we meet at FedEx!
Seriously, though, the missed FG was huge, and if it weren't for the two turnovers I got, I may not have been able to score more than 10. The longer games do provide for adjustments to be made, but man, they do take a long time! Longer than I'd like, but for me that really means I may not be able to do recaps every time, and barely time to grab some replays. I guess with Danimal's highlight show, maybe that's not really too much of a bad thing.
Anyway, great, great game Badgun. Thanks for the headset use, I really enjoyed our 'jibber jabber.' Good luck going forward, and I'll see you at FedEx the next time around - I'm sure it will be a very different kind of game!
[So, here's a weird glitch - the game wouldn't let me see highlights for this one. It would seem to go through the motions, but I wasn't seeing anything. Then it would ask if I wanted to save as if it had been showing me the highlight, whereas I was just looking at the empty screen. When I looked for them in 'My Madden,' it seems to think it's showing me something, and will upload something, but no images are there for me to see. Very odd. Upload took a nan-second, so there's nothing there. I could 'watch play' all I wanted, but the replay recording option just didn't function correctly. Very frustrating, but hey, what ya gonna do?]

Great game Zeppo...I'm still kicking myself for not fair catching that punt. It looked like I had enough room to catch the ball and make one juke and the guy has 96 speed so I tried to make something happen. Hehe, it did happen...for you.
You did a good job of adjusting your offense in the second half and you pretty much shut my offense down as well. After the second pick I was just scared to throw it unless someone was wide open. That's the very reason I run the ball so much...so I don't have to pass.
Anyway, it was a good win for you, I just hate that it ended the way it did. I don't mind losing, but I hate losing on a cheap turnover like that. See you soon at Fed Ex.

That was probably the most unbelieveable game I've ever played. Not in a bad way either.Slumberland wrote:Holy sh*t did Badger have a shootout.
The game started with the Pats doing whatever they wanted to do on offense. They marched down the field with their passing game. I tried man. I tried zone. I tried blitzing. I tried everything. It didn't work. They were finding Welker whenever they wanted (pretty realistic if you ask me) and were just shredding me. They scored to take a 7-0 lead and stopped me on a three and out. They scored again to take a 14-0 lead.
I was able to score on a long Adrian Peterson run to cut the lead in half, but they again marched down the field to take a 21-7 lead. On the ensuing kickoff, Percy Harvin fumbled giving the Pats the ball on the 20 or so. Shortly after that the score was 28-7. Percy would redeem himself though.
He returned the next kick for a touchdown to cut the lead to 28-14. The Pats though, were able to drive down the field again and extend the lead back to 21. Once again, on the ensuing kickoff, Percy Harvin returned it for a touchdown, making the score 35-21. Once again, New England marched down and scored to extend the lead back to 21. Harving, though wasn't finished. He scored on a 50 yard pass to cut the lead to 14 going into the half.
In the 2nd half the Vikings defense took over, shutting out the Patriots. I was able to tie the game in the 3rd quarter on a short Adrian Peterson run and an Antoine Winfield pick six.
In the fourth quarter I took the lead when Tarvaris Jackson finished a long drive by running it in from 7 yards out and finished the scoring with another 50 yard run by Peterson.
All in all it was a doozy. The Vikings were outgained 426 to 343 but had two kickoff returns for touchdowns and a pick six. There were six touchdowns scored of 50 yards or more, three by Percy Harvin.
I started uploading highlights at the end of the game but got a message saying I was disconnected from the league server and got spooked. I decided to exit out, hoping that the game would register.
I learned a couple of lessons here:
1. Always try to play a game post-patch before your franchise matchup against the CPU, and
2. Don't try a brand new offensive playbook in a franchise game.
I'm an idiot.
