I won't be able to make next Tuesday, unless the web draft works. (And this is not a request to change it, just letting everyone know.)

BTW the one thing that does work from the web is releasing players, so you can do that right from the browser. At least it works for me.

The draft works from the web--it's just that the one guy that was going by the web missed his first 2 picks because it only had like 15 or 30 seconds instead of the full 60, so you really have to be Johnny-on-the-spot if you're going to draft from the web.

After seeing The Titans releases to FA I realize how bad my team is, almost all of those guys are better then my starters.

Please make sure you know the rule before releasing because I don't think you can reclaim players right now the game won't let me add to rosters

1 player rated 80 or higher overall. (i.e. a player rate 80 counts)
1 Player rated 70 or higher overall.
2 Players rated 65 or higher overall.

I'll have to attempt this from the PC next week because I'll be traveling. One other thing is that, while my rankings are there, some of the players are just listed with commas and 0 OVR ratings. If I click on the comma, their info comes up and it looks like I can draft them, but given the time constraints, it'll be more challenging.

Well if several people are drafting from the web then I will bump up the time if I can but I think 1 minute is the max. I'll look at it tonight

You're the only one that can release from the web at this point anyway. Nobody except the commissioner has the move players link that you do.

It is.

15 secs, 30 secs, 45 secs, or 60 secs.

No other options.

In-game works fine. You just can't dump them from the web. That's only available to commish.

Ok this just came up and I didn't think of it but Kicker DO NOT COUNT towards your FA cut requirements.

It kind of defeats the purpose of player movement, kickers aren't usually whats going on in the FA market.

I'll change the rules on page one

I hope you're referring to the guys I booted for the draft and not the five clowns headed to the UFL, CFL or the Various Arena Leagues. . .

The funny thing is that if you look at the Titans before the actual season (and the Titans bad start in 2009) they were pretty stacked. . .after progression, Thorton was an 81 and the 19th best player on the squad. . .

I responded in the free agent thread, but I'll repeat here that I object to this rule. How can one improve his kicker if they are prohibited from being released in this FA draft? Outside of a trade, which would be extremely unlikely, or getting lucky with a prodigy in the draft, there's no other way a team could improve their kicker or punter without this FA draft system. Not all teams are stacked with 80+ kickers and punters.

From the other side of the aisle. . .

I think we should support the rule. . .I was under the impression that we wanted to simulate off-season movement and try to make that somewhat interesting. . .I'm thinking that if we enable a mass shuffling of kickers and punters, the draft is going to be kind of lame. . .

Nothing's stopping you from cutting a FA and bidding on a kicker. It's just that it can't count as your required releases.

Exactly which is why I eliminated kickers. Whether they be 60+ or 80+. the rule is too stimulate player movement, I really didn't think anyone would be opposed.

After all is said and done, I think I'm done with leagues.

Even the simplest things are blown up and it's just not worth it IMO.

I waited a bit before posting this to make sure I wasn't just reacting, but seriously I am tired of the BS.

I agreed with the kicker rule, so I implemented it end of story.

I am so sick of everyone saying "it wasn't a rule before" like everyone has so much god dam experience running something like this. I said at the beginning I would learn as we go but the only thing I learned is people love to b*tch if they don't get their way.

It's a frickin video game guys, why the hell are you getting so bent out of shape about it. When people I consider friends (at least virtually) are riding my ass about the simplest things I ask myself why am I doing all this work.

I don't know what else to say other then if someone thinks they can do this better, let me know I will transfer the power to you tonight.

Assuming this doesn't happen we'll continue on with the current plan / schedule.

Well I certainly didn't think my saying that I object to this newly decided rule would be considered 'riding your ass.' I'm just expressing my opinion about this rule which came out of the blue.

I also never said 'i'm quitting this league if I don't get my way' on this rule or any other rule that has been implemented, whether that rule has been open for discussion or not.

I suppose if in the future you would prefer not to have new rules discussed then I don't need to be part of the executive board.

Well, in this case I think you're all having a knee-jerk reaction to this. If kickers aren't that important than I'd like to see Terry drop Janikowski and either draft a kicker or sign one of the current free agent scrub kickers. I remember my game with Terry and I remember Janikowski ensuring that I started each drive after a score either at my 20 or inside of it while he got to start outside of his 30 each time I kicked off due to my shitty kicker.

How about tmdba drops Bironas too and does the same. It's easy to devalue the kicker position when you're taking yours for granted. And I am sorry Danimal but it is total bullshit that you just decided that this should be a rule and just instituted it after the fact. And if you're sick of everone saying "it wasn't a rule before" how about you dot every 'i" and cross every "t" before you implement things?
