Yeah, it's a blast. I'm glad I picked it up, despite the price. Definitely have to run through it with you guys.
Agreed!

I love the Foo Fighters, but enough already! Well, now that I can have The Pretender, it's enough ;)

I picked up the Beatles game as part of the Amazon 3 for 2 deal. At that price I was ok with it ($60 was too much for a Wii game). Only played about 8 random songs so far, but I love it. I am glad I went with this rather than GH5. I'm not a hugs Beatles fan, but I enjoy most of their music. Wonderfully polished game that shows a lot of care went into making it, which just makes it that much easier to enjoy.

Still looking at Lego Rock Band as a must buy, but will wait to give it to the kids for the holidays.

ARGHHHH!! I just fouind out that the Wii version doesn't have any import/export capabilities. I was planning on getting this and importing the songs into RB2. This game just turned into a no-buy for me.

WHY oh WHY do they release these obscure songs when it's the HITS we really want??? Joan Jett- I Love Rock N Roll anyone? NiRVana-Smells Like Teen Spirit? Why can't we get these songs???
I see your point but at the same time ,off of that list, I think Best of You and The Pretender are great songs. Ofcourse Im a Foo fan
Ok, with you being a FOO fan, did they ever release "Learning to Fly". I'm not a fan but like that song.

I'm getting a bit tired of Rock Band using the same bands for DLC that already have songs in the game or that already have DLC.

While it was nice to see Queen, the past weeks have been full of repeated bands ilke Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Tanacious D, Motorhead, White/Rob Zombie, Testament, Kansas, etc... I really like some of these bands, but I'd rahter see some new blood like Triumph (which GH is getting), Bryan Adams, and Pantera.

Well there's a flip side to it: those first three bands have a lot of fans and a lot of good songs to offer. No offense to that other Canadian power trio, but there are probably not a lot of people clamoring for Triumph DLC.

I do think they should be varied when possible, but it's hard to accuse RB of not being varied -- if you look at the DLC since RB2 came out, it really covers a wide spectrum of rock bands.

Actually, Triumph is available now in the Classic Rock 2 pack, It has Lay It On the Line by Triumph, Freeze Frame by J. Geils Band, and Show Me the Way by Peter Frampton. A very excellent pack indeed.

One thing I can say about Rock Band DLC, at least it is stuff that people have heard of before. About 70% of Guitar Hero DLC is european track packs with awful obscure artists no one has ever heard of.

That's why I stayed away from GH 5, even with the lure of a free Van Halen game. At least with RB, there are a few new bands that I didn't know of that I wound up enjoying, and even a couple I liked enough to buy their songs. The last few GH releases, however, have too many songs that both suck and are difficult to get through.

But that pack with Triumph is for Guitar Hero. Doesn't do me any good since I have Rock Band, and I am specifically b!tchng about Rock Band ;)

While I'm in rant mode, I also wish they'd lay off the live tracks. I'd love to get some Kiss into Rock Band (can't import RB1 because I'm on the Wii), but Dr. Love is not a favorite of mine and I don't like live tracks, so the other 3 are not for me.

They have had decent variety, but lately there seems to be a lot of alternative/grunge, and most of it is from the same bands we already had in the game.

I agree 100% with this. I ended up downloading songs I never expected to like playing, such as Maroon 5. If I heard them on the radio I'd probably still turn them off, but the song (I only got 1) is fun to play, and it's something different. I'm not always up for shredding ;)

I skipped on the GH5 deal too. It was tempting with VH thrown in, but I figure VH will be $10 soon. The GH5 soundtrack did nothing for me other than maybe a dozen songs.

Check out this Black Friday deal regarding Lego Rock Band. Pretty sweet if you can put up with the heavy traffic that day.

Talk about luck! I rented Lego Rock Band and in the original case at Blockbuster was the export code. It can only be used once and you can add it to your Rock Band 2 set list. So, you may want to run by your local Blockbuster and see if you can snag a free code.

Lego Rock Band is a must have if you have kids and they enjoy Rock Band or Guitar Hero. YOU may not like the song list, but the kids will. My son and daughter had the most fun playing this game tonight, even moreso than in the past. My son pointed out that the notes are legos which is something I hadn't noticed. It's about time there are more songs catered to the kids and families. Fun times this evening!

My kids love this game too, though in our case it's not really about the song list but the 'Lego vibe' and the more interesting things going on behind the note trails. They loved the Beatles because of the latter element, and Lego expands upon that with things such as the Power Challenges, which are everyone's favorite! You bust ghosts, fight giant sea-creatures, knock down buildings, etc.

And Super-Easy allows my 3-year old to play along. The kids ask me to play every night since I picked it up, now. It's interesting in that they kinda liked Rock Band, were more actively interested in the Beatles, and love Lego. I was only semi-interested in the game as a track pack, but if you have kids that were even kind of into the other RB games, I think they'd have a blast with this one.

I was the same way going into it. I figured I would download the tracks into RB2 and then throw the disc right on top of my AC/DC and RB Country cases in a box.

How wrong I was. Lego Rock Band is a HUGE hit in my house with my kids and especially my wife.

You know, you can get 'okay' trade in value for some of those. (Maybe not AC/DC now) I got about $8 for AC/DC and over $6 for country, the country just last week as I put it towards Lego, actually!

I found a code also in the game I rented from Family Video. It was in the original case sitting behind the game. YESSSS!
