Hey guys....

IT'S A GAME!!!!!

This isn't real life. If it upsets you or unnerves you, then don't buy it and don't play it. It's very simple.

Whether or not you do or do not have to "mow down" unarmed civilians doesn't mean you would all of sudden go out and do it in real life as well. It doesn't make you any less of an American. It doesn't make you any less caring (if anything it would probably make you even more so).

I don't get what all of the fuss is about. I mean, it doesn't surprise me, but I don't get it.

Is anyone actually concerned with the single player portion of the game?
Are you kidding? I found the first game's multiplayer to be fun, but ultimately still the domain of overcaffeinated tweens and vulgarians. The single player was one of the finest single-player shooters ever.
The single player is astounding as is the multi-player. CoD: MW is my favorite game of all time, and I'm extremely amped for MW2. Unfortunately I don't think it can possibly live up to the standard I have set in my head for it (or the hype that I have for it as well).

CoD 4 single player was a 6 hour diversion from the real fun. Infinitely spawning enemies with no AI isn't what I'm looking for in an FPS.

It was fun until the jerkwads who live in their parents basement got there and ruined it by being dicks-of course, that's nearly always the case with random jerkwads.

Then turn off your mic and just kill them.

Not as high a percentage of them on the PC, fortunately.

My indignation has cooled. Now I'm fully in "where can I find this early" mode. Funny that. I'm not proud!

Heard some people overseas getting their paws already on the game, although MS is to ban anyone playing it online.

I'm too old for that s*** anymore...

...but for this one, yeah...and I think I feel one of those 'timed viruses' coming on-looks to probably hit me on the morning of the 11th, so I don't think I'll be able to go to work...

A friend might be picking it up today and he'll grab me a copy there are any available. There are some mom and pop stores that will sell it early. I doubt MS will actually ban paying customers for getting it early. It's not illegal to buy it, only illegal to sell it early.

I've been playing it online for the last two days. There are several thousand people on... meaning more than 11,000. I highly doubt MS is going to ban anyone for beining online with it.

I wouldn't put it past MS to ban thousands of people playing bootleg copies early. Retail copies probably not.

Can you even play bootleg copies online? I know people who used to download ps2 games all the time, but they couldn't play online.

I am hoping we get a DSP party going on Tuesday/Wed. with this bad boy. Nothing like getting trashed by a bunch of 13 year olds :)

Yes you can . . . and they can use hacks to dominate multiplayer games, like jumping out of the map for example and shooting you from a very high place.

I've decided I'm not doing the whole midnight bruhaha. For one, I've gotta work on Tuesday, and need my sleep, and two, we're off Wednesday anyway. Seems like a waste when I won't be able to play it at all on Monday night, and staying home will keep me from being up until 3 am and only getting 3 hours of sleep.

Will be getting it at midnight - mainly because I have a soccer game that ends at 11:30 and I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. Can't wait to play this one!!

I had it in my hands on Friday, but watching them play it in the store, some wave of recognition came over me where I remembered how few good times I actually had with it online... I'll wait a bit and Gamefly the single player down the road if it turns out to be all that.

Today (or tonight I guess:)) is the day that the 15 billion other games that I have purchased other the past few months all take a backseat.

My Gamefly copy shipped today, which I will keep for 44.99.
I played CoD4 yesterday for 7 hours as a kind of warmup.
I'll see you fools online! Gamertag Brad Company.
