I don't have it but I know where to find it if Amazon.com or any other retailer decides not to sell it in the US.dbdynsty25 wrote:LOL...some people like to "type" out of both sides of their mouth.Jimmydeicide wrote:does that mean you have it? They changed the way you downloaded PES 2009 updates. At first you went to their site and downloaded them. Then they required you to get it thru Facebook which required a Facebook account. I bitched about that on their forums and they deleted my thread.fsquid wrote:I have no idea what you are talking about.Rodster wrote:Thanks Squidly it'll be next week before my copy shows up in the mail. Btw are those jokers using Facebook to access the patches?
Don't know if the FIFA PC version is different but the console versions don't have some of the problems you mentioned.pk500 wrote:I've tried the PES 2010 and FIFA 2010 demos for the PC, and I'm back in the Konami camp this year.
Both are solid games, with plusses and minuses. But the flaws in FIFA irritate me more than those in PES!
FIFA still relies on north-south play way too much for my tastes. The ball moves at a realistic pace, but the players run like Usain Bolt. Midfield play is too loose or even non-existent, with rapid, flowing play through the midfield hitting a brick wall near the top of the box. Plus I still don't like how top opposing AI forwards rely on trick moves to get in position for shots on the full sprint.
Just a minor aside, but I also think PES is a better-looking game this year for the first time in ages. Less motion blur on my ancient lappy than FIFA, too.
The ball still snaps around the midfield too quickly in PES, but at least there's midfield buildup. Wing-and-cross play is still too effective in PES, but at least there's wing play.
Plus the defensive help AI is much better this year in PES, and I've already seen a nice variety of goals and gameplay in the demo, even more than usual from PES.
For example, I lost 2-1 today playing as Liverpool against Barca. Henry scored both goals.
The first goal went right through Reina's legs from a tight angle. Looked cool, as Reina fell right on his ass after the ball passed through his wickets. On the second goal, Henry and Carragher were battling for a long lob pass, and Carragher completely flubbed the timing of his leap for the header. The ball dropped behind him, Henry sprinted through alone and slotted a shot past Reina. That was WAY cool.
Two solid games again this year. But unlike last year, I prefer PES this year.
Take care,
PK
I have not seen a slider for game speed. You must have really had a problem with past PES games because this game plays slow compared to every past PES game. The developers mentioned in interviews that 2010 is the slowest PES ever. I am finding the game speed to be really good. With the more realistic space given by the defenders, the slower pace allows for really good plays to be set up.sportdan30 wrote:That said, it played way too fast for my tastes. I'm guessing there is a speed slider like FIFA has? I would hope so at least.
Yeah some of the faces are incredible, especially from certain angles on the replays. I never thought I would see the day when PES looked better from an overall visual aspect than FIFA.10spro wrote:Picked it up for the PS3. I don't know, I have been playing this game for so long on the PS except the last two years that the controller feels more natural to me. Player models are amazing and even the faces are more accurate than Fifa IMO. Like what see so far.
