Started on Chapter 10 and it felt like I had only played an hour and am now up to Chapter 17. My goodness is this game gorgeous and the action sequences blow me away!
Does anyone else agree that the chapters seem shorter than Drake's Fortune? Some chapters seemingly only last 10-15 minutes. I'm not complaining, and honestly I wish some chapters were shorter!

I'm somewhere near the beginning - Tibet or something and I have to say this is possibly the best looking game I have ever seen. There is one part where you are clambering through those destroyed buildings and the floor of a bathroom breaks and the water comes pouring out of the wall - the detail and clarity is simply stunning.

I'm on Chapter 18 as well, and it's unreal how each chapter seemingly gets better and better. It's definitely my GOTY hands down.Macca00 wrote:I am on Chapter 18 now. I do not want this game to end. Simply incredible.
Prior to this I thought Batman Arkham Asylum was slam dunk for my action GOTY but I think Uncharted 2 has it beat. The visuals, the story, the characters, the action and the platforming are all top notch.
I beat it Friday night. I really hated for it to end...it was that good. Definitely my game of the year and probably the best game I've ever played...period. Just a fantastic ride from start to finish. I can't use enough superlatives to do this game justice.sportdan30 wrote:I'm on Chapter 18 as well, and it's unreal how each chapter seemingly gets better and better. I'm somewhere in that vicinity as well. The train scenes were simply awesome.sportdan30 wrote:I'm on Chapter 18 as well, and it's unreal how each chapter seemingly gets better and better. I was concerned about spoiling but YES, the helicopter stuff was SO freakin' cool!10spro wrote:I haven't advanced as far as some of you, but blasting the helicopter in chapter 7-8 was a blast. Like most of you have expressed, this is such a great story that traps you and which you don't won't to see it end. So I am taking my time.

And finis! What a great great experience this thing has been. The flow of this game was easily the best of any game i've ever played and i was absolutely drawn in from Chapter One through the finish.
I have comments about the final sequence of the game, but i have no idea how to include a spoiler in here so i will wait to see what others say once most of us are finished.

Well, I think the first few chapters didn't necessarily feel that much different than the first. But, it's not long until the story really kicks in to high gear.Slumberland wrote:Okay, I give in... I thought it was a bit snoozerific at first, but it is truly awesome.
I remember reading that there were quite a few more puzzles in Uncharted 2, but the number really doesn't seem drastically different than Drake's Fortune.
There are some times in this game I'm just hoping and wishing for a cut scene, because then I know I'm past a certain point. But, I will say that the game is forgiving when you die that you don't have to go all the way back to the beginning of the level and try again. It definitely takes the frustration out which is nice.
I love the way they have it set up when you die, so that you hardly lose any ground or have to repeat many steps at all.sportdan30 wrote: There are some times in this game I'm just hoping and wishing for a cut scene, because then I know I'm past a certain point. I finally got to a point in Chapter 17 yesterday where I had to look for an online walkthrough...and the answer was pretty obvious, it was just that I'm so used to getting stuck in these games that I had gotten into the habit of using a walkthrough as a crutch (and even then, I could have trouble advancing). Not so with this game...the level of difficulty is perfect for my skills (or lack thereof).
f***in game had me up way too late last night.

Same here GT. I've been getting to bed well after 11 the past week because of this game.
And you're right about some of the levels in the game. I broke down and referred to a walk through via gamefaqs last night, because I was stuck in area during Chapter 19 I believe. The only problem with this walk through is that there was too much information that I couldn't figure out where I was in the walk through manual!. In any case, I kept repeatedly getting killed, and not to give too much away, but I completely missed that there was an alley way that I was oblivious to. Yes, the game is linear but it still has enough openess that it doesn't necessarily feel that way at times.

I finished the game this afternoon and I am simply in awe of this game. From start to finish it was a blast, easily my single player action GOTY and easily one of the best games I have ever played. Sony should market the sh!t out of this game because I think it's a system seller.
Nathan Drake is one my favorite videogame characters.

That's how I felt about the first one. Toys R Us is finally showing this game as in stock online so I'm hoping to hell that mine ships within the next day or two. Has anybody been playing multiplayer?Macca00 wrote:I finished the game this afternoon and I am simply in awe of this game.
