I'll be advancing in the morning, I am not feeling well and going to bed, seems like one game is left to be played.

Well, looks like falcons/saints will have to simmed as mark1177 and I tried to hook up but we kept getting disconneced in the setup screen. I asked if his NAT was set to "open" and he didn't know what it was, so I tried to explain how to check by sending a voice message. He logged off after that and haven't seen him online for the last 45 minutes or so.

Who knows If the NAT was even causing the issue but in my experience it is usually the culprit. Frustrating to say the least. 

I didn't think you could check your NAT in the new dashboard.

you do the regular xbox live connection test and if it doesn't list anything about your nat after the test then it is open. If the nat isn't open it will still tell you whether it is strict or moderate. That is what I read on a tech forum anyway :)

So you had to sim, and then got sim-steamrolled by the winless Saints?

Ouch.

Yes he did and I'm not too happy about it. Especially when a guy just up and leaves as your trying to figure it out. If that is what you're saying he did, please confirm that is the case.

Terry, Scoop and Zep could you guys send me your email addresses in a PM. It is too hard to use the PM system to send messages when all of us need to talk. We need to discuss two league matters and I need to resolve them quickly.

Thanks

Just a heads up that my 360 is fritzing out too. I've been nursing it along for a couple weeks with repeated troubles, but it may blow up soon. I'll keep any human opponents up to date, though.

Here is how it went..we tried to invite each other several times and each time we would get disconnected. I also tried sending Mark a party invite to try to chat but I assume he either didnt get those invites or couldn't join when he tried to accept (chat and NAT doesn't play well either I believe). We exchanged a couple text messages and then I sent him a voice message trying to best explain how to test his live connection in the 15 second limit of voice messages. After that he logged off...again I assumed he was going to try to test it and see if his NAT showed open...I also then tested mine just in case and then logged back in and waited 45 minutes or so but Mark never logged back on that I saw. We never said yes lets try to fix this and meet back in 30 minutes type of thing.

I am more peeved that I had been trying to contact him since Thursday to play and he finally reaches out to me at noon on Sunday. I had a nephew's bday party Sun night and wanted to play an earlier day...we might could have caught this problem and fixed it in time to try again. But I don't even know if it was even a NAT issue at all...just seems the likely culprit with past experience and all.

When Rob and I can't connect in a game, we can't get into each other's party or do a private chat either. Sometimes we can both connect to a third person's party, or even a game together if a third person sets it up. Weird, but yeah, if you can't connect for a game, you likely won't be able to party up either.

The oddest thing is I only have trouble with him, and he only has trouble with me.

Secondly: one time, XXXIV was having these issues trying to get into some NHL, and I said to him "go reset your modem and router and all that," and we didn't see XXXIV again for, like, three days. I'm not joking.

So maybe, sometimes if someone who's not well versed in all the port-forwarding stuff starts to mess with his internet gear, he might get it all in a mess and have trouble getting it back together. I don't know.

There was probably a bottle of Ouzo by the router. That would explain the 3 day disappearance/bender.

Pittsburgh 13
Denver 10

After a scoreless first quarter Denver scores the first points of the game with a long drive that is ended with a 1 yard touchdown run by Peyton Hillis. Pittsburgh would tie it up late in the second with a 70 yard run from Willie Parker.

After a scoreless third quarter the teams each had field goals in the 4th and the score was tied at 10. Late in the 4th Pittsburgh comes up with a big 3 and 11 on the 50 when Ben Roethlisberger finds Melwelde Moore for a 27 yard gain that would eventually lead to the game winning 37 yard field goal as timed expired.

<embed src="http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/110. ... player.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="height=360&width=640&file=http://cdn.content.easports.com/media2/ ... ="></embed>

Parker finished the game with 14 carries for 162 yards. Roethlisberger finished the game 6 for 9 with 95 yards but most importantly no ints. Orton was 12 for 19 with 123 yards. Denver travels to Washington next week while Pittsburgh hosts the Bengals. Good game Dan.

Samurai Mike Drops his pants. . .again. . .and again. . .

Post by tmdba37 »

The Titans get a much needed break by getting their first CPU matchup of the year and taking advantage by winning 28-10 over the still winless 49ers. . .

The Titans RBs ran wild as all three backs scored TDs. . .highlighted by two long 4th Quarter TD runs by Chris Johnson (46 and 38 Yards). . .

The Titans Defense had the poor CPU Offensive Line quite confused and took advantage with 7 sacks as poor Shaun Hill threw three picks. . .and equally poor CPU Frank Gore ran for only 45 yards on 11 carries

The Titans get to double down later in the week against poor ol' Dick Jauron and the Bills while the CPU 49ers try some different algorithims against the Bears

I have literally lost count of how many 360's I've ripped through, but this one really hurts.

I just locked up out my OF game where I had 2 consecutive KO returns for TD's. :( Oh, the highlights would've been so very sweet. :)

Yes Good game, had I known Parker was Earl Campbell in disguise I would of concentrated more on stopping him.
