Minnesota 17
Pittsburgh 20 OT
After a lackluster first half with the two teams each getting field goals Pittsburgh opens the scoring up in the second half with Rashard Mendenhall scoring on a 28 yard run to put the Steelers up 10-3 but that lead would only last until Percy Harvin returns the kickoff 100 yards to tie the game up. Willie Parker would then scores on a 68 yard run to put Pittsburgh up 17-10 in the third. That lead would last until Minnesota put a nice drive together at the end of the 4th quarter and tied it up with a 1 yard Adrian Peterson touchdown run.
Into overtime we go, Pittsburgh wins the toss but is stopped on their opening drive and have to punt it away. On Green Bays drive rookie cornerback Joe Burnett comes up with the biggest play of his young career with an interception to put the Steelers in Vikings territory.

After driving to the 7 yard line the Steelers finally decide they are in good enough field position to kick the field goal and it is good but wait, a holding penalty is called so Jeff Reed gets to try to win it again and makes it from 34 yards away to break Pittsburghs 3 game losing streak.
Both quarterbacks ended the game with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions each. Willie Parker had 19 carries for 101 yards and Adrian Peterson had 17 for 110 yards. Next week Minnesota travels to Green Bay while Pittsburgh has their bye week in preparation for a trip to Denver the following week.
Great game Badger.

My thoughts as well. Despite some of the quirks in the game, i'm still having a blast and all my opponents so far have been excellent.Nozzleman_216 wrote:I dont care how it continues so long as it does with a good amount of people playing. I am having a blast and I find myself constantly telling people I know stories about the league!!

Some guy at OS wrote a Grease Monkey script to pull all these stats and they are sortable. You need Fire foxand GM installed.

Some other stats for you.
Te Redskins have scored the most points in the league with 186 in 6 games.
The Broncos have the most time of possession with 158:18 while the Saints have the least TOS with 47:02.
The Chiefs have the best offense in the league yards wise with 2086 yards and our averaging 347.67 a game. The Chiefs also own the most passing yards with 1646 and passing yards per game with 274.33.
The Colts have given up only 1 sack this season which leads the league while the Jags have given up a league high 18.
While the Vikings own the most rushing yards at 735, The G-men have the best average per game at 119.33.
The Chargers have allowed the fewest rushing yards with 208, while the Buc's have allowed the most with 841. However the Saints have allowed 129.80 rushing yards a game making them the worst in the league. While the Raiders may be the worst in the league against the pass on average at 228.33 per game. No team has allowed more passing yards then the Browns with 1418.
While the Saints are tied for second in sacks with 12, they are statistically the worst defense in the league allowing 345.20 yard per game. For those who wondered the Vikings lead the league with sacks at 15.
The Steelers have the best Kick Return unit in the game already amassing 1000 yards. The Jest with 238 our the best in punt returns. Finally to wrap this up the most penalized team in the league is teh Green Bay Packers both in terms of number (27) and yards (236). To demonstrate how bad the penalty engine is in Madden the least penalized team is the Falcons with 1 penalty for 10 yards. 14 other teams have less then 10 penalties at this point of the season.
That's all for this editions wrap up.

Tried posting the table code like I do at OS, but this forum setup completely messes it all up. Not sure what the deal is, but I can't post a power rankings table here.

Keep in mind, gang, that simmed games seem to get the normal 60, 65 or 70 plays per team per game whereas the games we play end up with maybe 35 to 40 plays per team. I'm sort of guessing, but there's clearly no adjustment for quarter length in the simmed games.
So it's interesting to look at these stats without looking at the CPU teams. Also a handful of human cotrolled teams have had simmed games.
The Chiefs in the game I played against them had over 360 something yards passing in a blowout loss. I think they had about 15 yards rushing. And Cassel gave me six picks that game too! It would only be fair if everyone could play that team! Lol.

Terry the Power Rankings are great.
Zep I don't expect the stats to be perfect I just though the stats would add some interest to the league. If they made it easy to download the darn video clips I would of put together a weekly highlight show.
