EDIT: This might be a stupid question, but where are the available FAs on the league website? I can't find it.
Then look up top for a link that says free agents.
Again no moves to Saturday.

Final Rules - http://www.maximumpixelation.com:81/res ... 0rules.pdf
FREE AGENT POINTS
Each team will have 10 Free agent points per season to use to sign free agent and make roster moves. These points are for in season moves only. If you need to fill a roster spot and are out of FA points you will be granted the lowest rated player at the position you need.
FREE AGENT BIDS
To make a Free agent bid post on the Online Franchise web site, not at DSP. Claims should go like this:
Free Agent Claim: Players name – Points Bid
Example: Free Agent Claim: Mike Wahle – 2 points
Each claim should be its own message. Once posted other league members can up your bid, a bid must stand for 24 hours to become final. All message on the site are time stamped, once the bid wins you can then move the player to your roster.
IR
If a player is injured for 6 weeks or more they may be put on IR. To place a player on IR you must first successfully complete a FA Bid listed above to claim a new player. Once you do that then simply post a message that a player that was released is now on IR. At the seasons end you can then release players to move IR players back on your roster.
TRADES
1. All trade requests with the cpu must be put in the appropriate thread on the message board. Then the league board will vote on the trades fairness. If it’s a board member proposing the trade, we will have a 3rd party vote from outside the owner division.
2. No trades after week 6 (hopefully that's part of the game code)
3. You may not trade a player back to it's original team.
4. For now no trading of draft picks outside of the upcoming year.
5. You may not trade more then 3 draft picks.
6. Empty roster spots due to unbalanced trades need to be filled with Free agents and are bound by Free agent rules (see above)
CONTRACTS / FREE AGENT DRAFT
There is no idea of contracts, hold outs etc. We're going to keep this one pretty simple. Before moving to the next seasons draft we will hold an ad hoc Free Agent Draft.
Each team will be required to released to Free Agency 6 points of FA value, and no more then 5 players (see below). Then we will draft in order of finish on the season FA. You can only draft as many players as you release.
Players Rated 90+ are 3 point value players
Players rated 80 - 89 are 2 point value players
Players rated 70-79 are 1 point value players
No players below 70 can be released for this draft.
So If I release 1 guy with a 92 rating (3 points) one with an 85 (2 points) I then need to release one in the 70's to equal 6 points. You CAN NOT exceed 6 points of the filling of roster will not work.

Danimal, first of all, of course I'm happy to help you out with any admin duties as need arises.
Secondly, when can we start posting our FA bids? Just any time tomorrow, or do you want us to wait for a certain time tomorrow?
As to CPU trades, all of us must consider: what is Drew Brees worth? Hmmm.....

Great so Terry, Scoop and Zep will sit with me on the board.
Free agent moves can start at 12:01 EST tonight. Again if someone wants to bid on someone that badly they can get it in, and then wait the 24 hours. Like it says all message are time stamped so should be easy to see when it clears and also all transaction are reported to me and the league so if someone grabs someone early or illegally we will know.
BTW I don't expect any of that to happen we have a league of virtual friends here.
As for CPU trades I put them in because you and a few others PM me they should be in. In all honesty trading in the NFL is rare, I personally didn't think we should use them so we'll try it.
But no CPU team is going to trade away a starting QB (I think you were joking) and I don't want this league to turn into some odd world NFL. You don't see elite players being swapped around the NFL too often.
A lot of us here are football guys so don't expect trades with the cpu to go through as if you were playing a single player experience. In fact i would urge people who want to try trades to go the human route because if anything I am going to be a ball buster on CPU trades.
I expect to see a lot of bids because frankly there are some dam good players in the FA pool, just remember don't blow all your points this weekend as you may need them later.
Finally I know there is the chance of someone purposely upping your bid to make you pay more, that's the point of the bid system risk / reward. That person may do that and you don't overpay and they are stuck with them. Which should make the next line obvious but let me say it anyway.
IF YOU PLACE A BID YOU CAN NOT RETRACT IT.
Bottom line is lets have some fun, there will be bumps along the way. For example disconnects there is no way for me to award a win which allows us 2 options.
1. Replay the game.
2. Sim the game.
I'm leaving that up to the players involved. If you spent 45 minutes and say Zep was up by 20 with 4 minutes left and the game disconnects then I can't give him the win which sucks. So he either has to replay the game or both player have to agree to sim.
Again I don't expect this but if we see a pattern of disconnects with someone we will take action.
Whew this got long winded, last thing i will say. I would su7ggest you look at your schedule and see if your first game is against a human opponent and start contacting them now. The sim schedule will be strict, I will advance and sim any games not played.
Have fun making claims, and lets have some fun I think this is going to be an awesome experience.

I suggest that everyone set their profile preferences here to send an email to notify you when you receive a new PM here. That email notification is key, because the PM notification here at the forum is extremely subtle. PMs tend to be the best way to schedule games, but only if people notice them.
Danimal, I am also wondering what you think about my 'no delay of games on the first first down of any possession' house rule. If both players agree, it easily solves an annoying problem that only exists because of poor rules interpretation at Tiburon, and I'd love to see it adopted as a league-wide house rule.

I must be a moron, as I can only see roster and injuries as options to look at free agents (at the roster screen). How odd....Danimal wrote:Go to RosterJared wrote:Signed up.

Jared, the only way I know to see free agents in online franchise is to go through 'player management.' There, Free Agents appears as a team in the upper left, and you can scroll to it by holding the L-Trigger and pushing the L-Stick.
So anyone know the story with eman? I know he's pissed that I stole the 'skins from him
, but I went from thinking I had a full division to now having only two in my division
. Although I do think GameSeven will show up when he gets back from his trip.
Also the time stamps at the league website seem to be in GMT not in EDT, so it's a little disorienting. I don't know how to fix. Maybe somewhere on the main EA Sports site?
EDIT: Jared, I just realized you are looking for help at the website; I don't know if you can see FAs on the website. I can only find them in the game itself. A silly, if not surprising, oversight.

Ya. Very annoying. I have 3 guys I want to bid on.Slumberland wrote:Annoying. Rob might not even know that I put in a competing bid for Marvin Harrison.
Are the FA's viewable on the site, or just from within the game? I couldn't find them on the site... when it was working.
I was looking on the site and couldnt find em. Found em on the game only.
The second one. Not viewable on the site, only in the game.Slumberland wrote:Annoying.

I think some guidelines need to be set.
First of all, you have to list the position of the player you are making a bid on, such as QB, WR, DT, etc. As more and more bids are being made, this will become more and more necessary.
Second, competing bids must be made AS NEW POSTS, not as a reply to the original bid. This way it is clear to all at a glance from the message list, if you can get it to load, without having to make that extra click to see the replies to a message.
Right now, it looks like grtwhtsk has made a competing claim for RT Jennings of 2 points, over the Titan's bid of 1 point, but I'm not sure anyone except him and me are aware of it.
Also, Danimal may have to consider what kind of penalty, if any, will be enforced if someone ends up bidding more points than the allowed 10. I could see it happening by accident if people aren't paying attention.
Oh, and Slumber, Rob did notice that you bid for Harrison and bid again, this time for 3 points. But grtwhtsk has made a bid on the player for 4 points.
Eman: try this link to get to the site:

You can also get there from the EA Sports website if you can find the link along the top menu bar:

You go to EA sportsworld. Mouse over football and click on online franchise.
That site is killing me slowly. Seriously, they didnt expect succes with the online franchise?
I posted my first FA blind for Mcalister 2 pts and someone had done it already
...now it wont let me do it for 3....sighs...
Edit: its a miracle! It finally let me.

I am aware I already have 8 points on the table.
How bout any bid that takes you over 10 outstanding points just doesnt count?
