Look forward to the final round at the last Majors of the year. Tiger was his usual self, playing solid enough to hold on to his lead, nothing spectacular today but good enough to be ahead by two strokes. Paddie had some great saves and it'll be good to see him with Woods again fighting for the championship.

South Korean S.E Yang shot an amazing 67 though, to put himself in the mix. Just mind boggling how some of the little guys still in contention can hit it far far in this long long 7500+ yards course.

Sean O'Hair was the first off the tee this morning and finished his round in a little over 2 hours. The group behind him were 6 holes behind. He can probably make it home before Tiger gets to the turn.

Y.E. Why not? Yang shot a 67 yesterday (best of the field) and with his amazing eagle on the 14th hole, took the PGA away from Tiger. Just stole it from him. The S. Korean dude was cool like a cucumber all day long playing next to Woods and other than his bogey on the 17th hole, his small 5'8" frame was no problem for this lenghty course.

This is going to be huge for the Asian golf world. Big upset.

Yang's shot with the utility wood over the tree near the end of his round has got to be the shot of the tournament, given the circumstances.

If the roles were reversed, we would be hearing about how Tiger Woods intimated Y.E. Yang but this is the second time Tiger has lost to Y.E. Yang in the final round of a tourney. Can't believe the broadcast didn't mention the HSBC Champions event in China.

MSNBC.com is running a poll asking if this is the biggest upset ever.

Can you spell H-Y-P-E?

Give me a f*cking break. This isn't even in the same universe as the U.S. winning the gold in hockey in 1980, Buster Douglas knocking out the unbeaten Mike Tyson or NAIA Chaminade beating Ralph Sampson's Virginia in college hoops.

Take care,

I am glad the people here embraced him for winning. It was a crowd dominated by Tiger supporters, but I am happy to see Yang win. This will probably be the highlight of his golfing career. Tiger can get the next one.

This might leverage Korean golf to take over the PGA Tour like they have done on the LPGA Tour. Could be a scary situation in 10 years if the same thing happens.

It's a start. I have a couple of names in mind but the men are far from what the Korean delegation is doing for the LPGA. A couple of the Korean ladies repeated in some LPGA Majors. This is a hero win in Seoul for Yang, and for Asia in general, but can he duplicate the same feat that some of his colleagues did in the LPGA? I wouldn't bet on it.

I am not talking about this generation. How about 10 years from now when all the boys are playing golf and are adults now? Korea's soccer teams became better with the world cup and some of their younger athletes are going to move to golf now.

Oh yeah 10 years from now, they'll have a handful of top players, but not just S. Korea, Japan also has a share of good players, wouldn't be surprised if China will rise as well. Soccer is still big there.

Going back to the PGA, this is a tournament that Tiger led all along until the 14th hole today. He played very well all along but failed to make key putts today. So it wasn't a fluke at all for Yang, he played unbelievable this weekend and well deserved the Championship.

Yang was impressive in the way he finnished the round. Didn't seem like the pressure bothered him at all. I guess he felt he had nothing to lose.
Tiger's putter let him down Sunday, which is rare for him.

According to the "Orlando Sentinel", Tiger was seriously injured in a car accident today. The crash is under investigation.

Sorry Mac, don't have $300+ to burn now  although I am sure it's a bit less now. Heard very good things on the FT, personally I am fine with the R9 by TM.

Yeah it was 299 - or around 200 if you ask my wife;) I was really going back and forth between the R9 and a few other drivers. Ultimately went with Callaway because I'm a lefty and Callaway always takes care of us lefty freaks:) Seriously though it is a monster mallet. I feel like a big cheat swinging this thing.

Just purchased the new Taylormade R9 Irons :D Can't wait to swing 'em. They are on Golf Digest's Hot List this years as "Gold" so I am excited. If anyone is interested in my old Nike CCi Irons just look in the "For Sale" thread.

WooHoo!

Sweet Diablo. Do post some impressions when you get a chance. This is the year that I told myself not more upgrading after doing so for all my woods and driver to the R9 family.

I will, but, unfortunately, I won't be able to swing them for a while. I live in the NE and, well, you know. I got the R9's for a great price so I am pumped. I picked up the TM Burner Driver and 3W for a great price last year and love them. The R9's have gotten great reviews so I can't wait. I have made it a goal to make this the year I take big steps in improving my game. Gotta lower that handicap!

I'm a Mizuno man myself. Once you get a taste of their sweet feeling irons, you can't use anything else :)

I almost went with Mizuno Jack. They were on the final list but the R9's won out. I have heard great things about the Mizunos.

You made the right choice the R9's are by far better clubs, especially if you're a single digit or close to it.
