I wish there was a way to set up a "friends list only" one or something so we could have a DSP one.......
Agreed. The scoring in the game is so unrealistic and I know exactly why. It is too easy and predictable. Users shooting scores like this are holing out shots from the fairway and chipping/pitching on the greens instead of putting. Below are the areas I think TW for the 360/PS3 needs to improve on:
1) Club distances are still simply too long. The diver distances have made this a drive/Pitch or chip game at many of the courses. With the long driver distances, they have taken the difficult long iron play out of the game.
2) When long irons are about as easy to hit with accuracy as wedges, there is a serious problem here.
Holeouts and Eagles have become the NORM and not the EXCEPTION. Eagles are birdies, Birdies are Pars, and Pars are Bogeys in TW10. This is ridiculous.
3) To me, cup physics are still too forgiving. Nowhere near enough lipouts and too many putts that should bounce over the cup are ending up in the cup.
4) The analog swing focuses more on how straight you hit the shot versus making the tempo of the shot more of a factor.
5) The green grids offer TOO MUCH information, but I recognize that some do not like putting on gridless greens. If there were more camera options to view the green, I would putt without the grid 100% of the time. However, I refuse to do this in Live Tournaments because I am not good enough of a player to handicap myself by removing the grids.
6) I like the idea of the Extreme tournaments. However, I do not think you have to make every tournament "Gale Force" or "Gusty" winds in order to challenge hardcore users.
If 1-5 were addressed and Extreme tournaments were called PGA TOUR tournaments with Live Weather and single-try only, I do believe we would get MUCH closer to a realistic simulation of the game.
