He might against the garbage teams, but against the big time outfits he'll do what he did for Inter and Sweden, and go missing completely.
In honour of the upsurge in interest in the glorious game of cricket, there is a phrase that suits him down to the ground.
"Flat-Track Bully"
Anyone who thinks he's worth even the same as Eto'o, let alone plus €40m (and Hleb, who's not much) is out of his mind. Guardiola is apparently 'unconvinced' to say the least.

"The players come from all over the world, the money from deep underneath the Persian Gulf, but, as another, older City poster campaign put it, this is their city. They may now exist in the global spotlight, but they intend to keep it that way."

Nice to see that the Scottish Drunkard's ongoing battle with senility continues, and that the supporters are totally onside with it.miget33 wrote:K.Toure, another average defender, on his way to City.

Now he's on TV questionning Real Madrid's transfer policy, suggesting that Ronaldo might end up playing CH as Real Madrid don't have any. Yeessss, right Sir Alex. Why don't you just sit down and have another whisky ?
This is starting to look a bit like the last days of Brian Clough....

He's a Utd fan, so obviously using their performance at OT when Liverpool spanked them 4-1 or in the CL final as his benchmark for 'ordinary'....Macca00 wrote:Average? I think he's pretty damn good. Lescott would also be another fantastic signing for them (with the added bonus of pissing Gollum off).miget33 wrote:K.Toure, another average defender, on his way to City.

What's your problem, Bayern Boy ? You gearing up for a season of unremitting Van Gaal tedium ?
One thing I noticed, Bayern don't seem to have many Dutch players, other than that carthorse Van Bommel. Get ready for that to change...he once had 8 of them at Barca, and it's strongly rumoured that he was the one behind their orange away kits..

So we have to bash any moves City makes.

Macca-
To me Toure is no better than Dunne, so maybe saying he's average is harsh, but to me he's not upgrade from what they have already.
You do know that no manager is allowed free reign on transfers at Bayern, right? Sometime it is good, sometimes it is bad.davet010 wrote:What's your problem, Bayern Boy ? You gearing up for a season of unremitting Van Gaal tedium ?

Good, in this case. I do seem to remember that Barcelona under Van Gaal were dreadfully boring and the fans never really took to him, despite success.

Entertaining game between my dear 'Boca Juniors' and ManU in Munich for the Audi Cup, 2-1. Both teams are in preseason form and the Reds were just more opportunistic whenever they had their chances. Boca just misfired a few times.
It's Coco Basile's second stint as coach of the xeneixes and despite the loss, I liked how the team moved, attacking football with Riquelme being the QB as usual, although they did rely on Palermo's header too often.
It's Bayern and ManU for top place now, while Boca plays Milan for third.

Yes, I know City have been doing it all summer, but is anyone up for another season of the FA Premier League fantasy football ? If there is at least some interest, then I'll set it up this week or next.

I'll wait til Jared kicks off the new thread before posting the codes, else you'll be trying to work out where it is.
