I agree with you guys. Do it once, GONE.

THAT would clean the game up but fast.

And I don't think testing should be random. Every player should be tested every week. Its not like they don't have the cash to afford it. Hell, I had to go through it in the Navy, these overpaid little leaguers can do it too.

'Once and gone' would turn the MLB into nothing but appeals, lawsuits, and fans getting pissed their favorite player just got banned for life.

The game will never be clean as long as the cheaters are one step ahead of the testers.

Cards pick up DeRosa for Perez and a player to be named. I love this trade!

Funny how DeRosa was in the Cards' lineup Sunday but Perez was nowhere to be found in Cleveland.

Can you blame the guy? :(

Cleveland kept him out of the lineup the day before.. I'm not so sure the Cardinals did that with Perez. I wish Perez the best of luck though! I hope he does well in Cleveland.

What a debut by Perez last night. 4 runs in 2/3 of an inning. He plunked the first two batters he faced, walked the next guy, threw a wild pitch that allowed a run in, and two of the runs scored after he FORGOT to cover first base on what should have been an inning-ending double play.

He'll fit right in on this team.

At this time of the year and for the past few years the Jays usually find themselves just above .500 and wondering whether they should be buyers or sellers. The team started oh so well, well beyond my expectations and the pitching staff started to run into injury troubles including our ace R. Halladay. At one point all five starting pitchers were on the DL and not coincidentally, that's when the team started to tumble.

But now, the unthinkable is being thrown around. Is the Doc available? So it seems, according to P. Ricciardi if the offer is sweet. Halladay is a winner and will get a lot of interest around the league. Although I would missed him dearly, he deserves to be playing with a team that can do some noise during the playoffs and not float around like the Jays are now.

Interesting times for the Doc and the Jays, I just hope Ricciardi doesn't trade him for the sake of just moving him around which for the record, he does not want to leave TO if it was up to him.

He still hasn't gotten a hit, his wife is still hot, and now he's on the DL with a small tear in his wrist.

OK Philly fans, with a week to go before trading deadline, do you want R. Halladay or not?

Or they might want Lee. There was a group of scouts from the Phillies, Dodgers, Brewers and Red Sox in Toronto last night. They came Sunday to watch Halladay but stuck around to watch Lee pitch last night.

Great. :(

Could you imagine dealing away the reigning Cy Young award winner two years in a row? Whether it's the right thing to do or not, what a PR nightmare that would be.

Well C. Lee had another complete game last night, not too shabby but if you want consistency you can't get anyone better than the Doc. Sure Lee comes cheaper though.

Wow, what a night for Manny last night. He hit a pinch-hit grand slam into Mannywood on his own bobblehead night! You couldn't write a script like that.

Thanks to the free preview of Extra Innings I watched it. Vin Scully went nuts. He said it was the loudest roar from the crowd he had heard at Dodger Stadium since Gibson's homer in the '88 Series.

Cheater.

Anyway, it's suddenly the early '90's in Mets-land. Embarassing.

How anyone can cheer for him is beyond me. He cheat the game. Any records he breaks is a joke.

Former White Sox pitcher Jim Parque confessed to HGH usage in today's Chicago Sun-times. Says he used to try to make a comeback to support his family the only way he knows how. I'm wondering if this makes him any less of a cheat.

Unfortunate nature of the business. If he was to play for the Cards, would you be surprised if he was more cheered than jeered?
