Of the big 4 I could literally care less about the NBA and increasingly MLB. So, I will do like some other people in the thread and go beyond the big 4.

1. NHL
2. Soccer (EPL/SPL/La Liga)
3. Formula One/MotoGP
4. NFL/NCAA Football

Can the NHL really be considered part of the "big 4" anymore? Since their strike I'd argue that Nascar is the #4 sport now, at least in the US.

My top 4:
MLB
NFL
MotoGP/Superbike
And....Well that's about all I can stand to watch on TV. Maybe NBA playoffs would be my #4.

There are other sports I like to play (like Golf), that I will just never watch on TV.

Yeah, I think to be in the big 4, you have to show your games on a network that doesn't make people ask, "Do I get that station?" And if I wanted to watch toothless, mulleted Canadians beat each other with sticks, I'd watch Cops: Saskatoon.

1) NFL
2) MLB
3) NBA -- most improved sport of the 2000s.
4) The World Poker Tour :D

And I much rather watch toothless men from Canada, USA and large parts of European tough guys than baby whiners taking illegal drugs and calling themselves World Champs.

Sadly, the NHL will never round the top four in the USA, soccer would probably come first before someone laces up the skates.

This is a tough one for me as it seems to change every couple years or so.

As of right now:

1. NHL
2. MLB
3. NFL
4. ?

Last year it would have easily been:

1. MLB
2. NFL
3. ?
4. NHL

Which sport is that?

Is there a sport which really is free of any kind of drugs, whether or not they have real performance-enhancing characteristics? Didn't some race car drivers get busted for drugs recently?

Tennis is ignoring the issue apparently:

With the money involved, there is probably no (big-time) sport where players don't at least consider taking PEDs of some kind.

Which sport? Is that a serious question?

I was referring obviously to the NFL and MLB although like you said in today's sports, I doubt NO player of any major sports event has not tried to cheat their respective systems.

Tennis is not immune to the illegal drugs at all. There's been some severe suspensions in the past five years to top 20 players in the World for up to a full year, and if there's a sport that you can't afford any time off, tennis is definitely one of them. Most recent rumor circles around the recent French finalist, Robin Soderling. But a drug program has been in effect for awhile.

There was a rumor about some WAS Caps players being aware of a dude distributing illegal drugs and the NHL is currently investigating.

A sport that needs to step it up a bit I would say is Golf, there are some guys hitting tons, +320 yards and I havne't heard of a serious program in place.

Look forward to the coming Tour de France, where it's become a "Let's see who can cheat the system best" event.
