IPhone/ITouch/IPad Game App Thread

It would be an absolute no-brainer for me if I could pick up all the channels I pay for (I am an XM subsriber with the best of Sirius...mainly interested in NHL, NFL, Howard, and Fox Sports Radio). I'd even pay the extra $3 a month.JRod wrote:There may be a Sirius/XM app sometime soon. That is what I want!
Does anyone have pocket tunes? Supposedly you can listen to all the channels, including Howard 100. How does this work if they don't even stream them on the web site? I'd pay the $10 for the app, but I'm worried it either won't work or XM will crackdown.
I've had my iphone for 5 days now. The games I have are Strategery, Flight Control, and Let's Golf. I paid a grand total of $4. Tiger is on sale for $7, but I'm concerned about the complaints that it is too easy with people shooting -50 for a tourney.
Darn, I should have waited. I am not sure if I've seen those ridiculous numbers but I do know that you can hit bombs away even with your created player and reach up to 400 yards with the pros. In terms of fun, I prefer 'Let's golf'.Leebo33 wrote:Tiger is on sale for $7, but I'm concerned about the complaints that it is too easy with people shooting -50 for a tourney.
Does it have as many courses and characters?Leebo33 wrote:I bought Let's Golf for $1! It's as good as the Hot Shots game I played on PSP for much more.
Does it have online play?
Some people think the success of the iPhone is what led to the PSP Go and to a lesser extent, the DSi.
But besides digital distribution, it's led to a plunge in game prices. Games over 99 cents won't sell.
So the only way they can get $40-50 for PSP games is if they consistently produce deep, big games with state of the art graphics, like GT Mobile.
Or maybe people don't care about having such deep games on a mobile device, just something they can play in 5-10 minute spurts.
Costco has an instant $7 rebate on iTunes gift cards (making it $50 for $60 in cards) so of course I had to pick up a few apps for vacation. I picked up Tiger and my 2nd drive was 390 with Tiger and I was driving up to 360 with my created character. That's not my main problem with the game though...putting is just too easy IMO.10spro wrote:Yeah, in the beginning I was averaging 310 and I started keeping my finger longer in the red zone and couldn't believe the distance with my created player. If you're playing a PRO you can easily reach 360.DivotMaker wrote:Interesting...I have yet to hit a drive over 330 and that is certainly not unrealistic....10spro wrote:I recommended 'Let's Golf' and is cheaper than Tiger. I am also playing 'Flight Control' 'Guitar Hero Tour' and TW. But everyone can hit up to 360 yards or more with Tiger which is a bit unrealistic.
I also bought Yahtzee for $3, Scrabble for $5, and Stone Loops for $1. It's nice because my wife and I share the apps and will be able to play Scrabble online when I travel.
My favorite sports game so far is X2 Football.
How do you like your 3GS Leebo? I am thinking about switching as Rogers here in Canada has a more decent plan to upgrade for 3G owners by keeping the same data plan and adding an additonal year. My current 16GB is getting low in space for all this apps and games.
As for Tiger, I hope they can update their game soon (doubt it) but I am enjoy 'Let's Golf' much more.

I love it, but I probably would have loved anything since I never had data/texting on a phone before. This is my first leap into the 21st century. I've always had bare bones phones/plans prior to the 3GS. I'll try to post some impressions in the iPhone thread some time.10spro wrote:How do you like your 3GS Leebo?
I just upgraded from an original 8 GB Iphone to a 16 GB 3GS over the weekend and am also loving it. 3G is considerably faster than the Edge network for those times I'm away from home (and in a 3G area), the camera is noticeably better than the old one, and the video camera is quite nice (for a phone). All of the apps seem to load faster as well. Very much worth the cost to upgrade, IMHO.Leebo33 wrote:I love it, but I probably would have loved anything since I never had data/texting on a phone before. I think Carmack said in an interview that they're going to see if the iPhone marketplace will support quality games at $10.10spro wrote:I wasn't going to pay $10 bucks for it but at a more reasonable $3 until today, 'Doom Resurrection' is in my library.
So the fact that they've dropped the price in a month may not be a good sign.
